I was thinking about buying advertising on Quora to promote CPA offers, but their advertising policies say, "We do not allow affiliate links to be used as landing page URLs."

Here is the page of their policies that states it:
https://quoraadsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031294151-Additional-Prohibited-Content

Does this statement only concerns landing page URLs, that is, if you make your own prelanding page, that links to an affiliate link, or even simply promote an URL that redirects to an affiliate link, they are fine with this?

Or are they prohibiting to advertise anything that you get affiliate commissions for?

Has anybody ever bought advertising for their affiliate links on Quora here?

I have and most of the time nothing happens to them, it’s one of the ways to get into IM

So you folks just put your affiliate links as a promoted URL and that was fine with Quora?

Mine was to my sass application. You could always look at cloaking solutions.

Link cloakers work in this situation but if they don't allow.. one day you will be terminated for that. CPC always require pocket money :(

They don’t like affiliates. I’m telling you this from experience. Play them like you would play Google, make the Landing Page a Landing Site.

Yes! Landing pages works good mate. & i remember i done iframes too for using bing ads. it was doing well....

the cpc on quora, linkedin is too high. Oh and forget about twitter too (its a waste of money)

You should use a product for those types of sites. Because when your offer stops being available, its going to be hard to find something to replace it.

I was thinking about trying Quora ads - but everywhere I read the CPC is too high. How they calculate it actually? It is not an auction like with google ads/bing? How much have you guys paid and in what niche?

thanks

Does somebody know if new accounts require specific thresholds of account age or some type of warmup before starting advertising properly?
For example on twitter the accounts needs to be 30-day old and have blue tick and on Facebook you need to post regularly for some days if you don't want to get banned
