What is the best way to purchase a page rank 3 or page rank 4 blog without being tricked. I've read multiple threads and it is still a complicated process. If someone can direct me on this that would be excellent. Thank you.

See proof of revenue and traffic of the blog. Check the stats if possible through available tools and use escrow service only. Do not pay upfront. Better make an agreement first that if the traffic/revenue turns out to be fake, purchase will be canceled.

Are you buying an established site or just an expired domain?

For a site you can have them add you to their Analytics account so you can view the stats for yourself. You can then verify the keyword rankings for previous months using semrush and check the backlinks using Majestic or OSE.

Currently their is a domain that has expired that is local and its a pr3. I believe they have the opportunity to still purchase it because i can't find it on godaddy to purchase and i dont think it is under auction. How do i make sure that i can buy this without losing the page rank?

Also ask to see their htaccess file to that any pagerank is not inflated byond what it really is.

Dont ask for them to send it to you as it could be modified before its sent to you, ask for cpanel access and read the htaccess file yourself.

That will help you from being tricked in terms of PR.

Check it with this :
Code:
http://www.rankchecker.com/pagerank-checker/

if its real PR, wait for it to go on auction. Site owners have a grace period for their domains before it goes on public auction.

Check their PR personally. Because lot of fake PR seal around.
Get their record of Google Analytics .
Check their domain for PR, Age and even check the blac list.
If would be best get their google webmastertools detail to check all link in from the blog and the keywords they targeted.

Simple...Don't buy one.

They are easy to build, as it is all about authority and making the site generate traffic flow and having the most relevant content links coming in and more importantly OUT of your site.

It is all about information RESOURCE, as well as your own click ads, links to sales pages, etc.

i have found a domain local that is expiring and it is a page rank 3. it has expired on the 18th of march and i guess the owner still has pending rights to purchase. how do i make certain that i purchase this? it is a legit company and they are definitely in business and planning to stay in business. How do i make certain that i can purchase the domain(and maintain the page rank) if the owner doesn't renew it on time?

Look for a domain backordering service online for that.

Namejet.com is one such service. You will have to pay for the domain (about $10) and also the premium for the domain backorder service itself (around $100 i think).

But yeah get it while you can...
