Bought a mac and i regret it

If you're looking for laptop in range of 400-500$ you better go for Dell product. But if your is high around about 1K+ $ you should look for HP & Samsung. If you're looking for sexy design and quality screen only you should opt for Sony !!

I love my Mac, but for everyday business, I'll agree that it's not as good. I'm only saying that because most applications I use are only available on Windows.

If it weren't for the fact that Mac limits my business, I would ditch Windows completely. The user's interface and control (gesture) is just way too nice to pass up.

dont be a stupid ass pussy. download virtualbox and then install whatever OS you want.

Noob

asus k55a never heats up and intel core i5 with 500gb storage is more then enough for user like you.

I love how everyone on here is stating that only certain laptop brands are "good." Here's a newsflash: all of the companies you guys have listed have had terrible products and amazing products. Look at the reviews based on the model, NOT the brand.

just try to find something with windows 7 I got a new touch screen windows 8 and I feel like taking a sledgehammer to it...

If you're looking for sexy design and quality screen only you should opt for Sony !!

I have to totally disagree with you ! This is the most non-sense I have ever Heard !

I'm an Architect ?! Have you ever heard about word "Render" ?! Something we do to make photos realistic which makes you pc consumes 100% of all your cores till the render is finished

I'm the laptop advisor in my college and I have seen any brand you can ever imagine

I have my Vaio (4 GB Ram & i5 Core) for 4 years of studying. Some renders might take +24 hours. Rendered over 17 Graduation Project across the year beside other work with some of the heaviest software you have ever heard about.

And now after graduation I gave my Vaio to my sister as I have Pc Beast here and I guess I'm the only one in my class mate who still have his laptop after graduation...

I have literally seen Laptops burned in front of my eyes because of overload ( Specially HP )

So, Where exactly did you get your advise from ?!

@OP :-

- Asus is pretty popular out there but I not here in my country ( don't really know why ! )

- Dell : Pretty good for budget and it's 50/50 for durability and performance
- HP : Pretty good at performance and sucks at durability ( you can run it the whole year without problem as long as you are not overloading it )
- Toshiba : the opposite of Hp .. Great Durability and sucks at performance

VAIO : Gives you the best of both ( this is the reason of the higher price tag with the same specification ) + they have the best design along all of laptops. OH, And they have one of the best customer service in the world.

However, if you can go for Asus Ultra Design mentioned in this post I will highly recommend it.

I also hate OSx, my PC broken and I can't do anything on this damn mac...

I was windows for over 7 years then I went mac... and I'm never going back. I was in the same thoughts how crap this thing was on the first 2 days however once you get use to it, wow - this baby is a beast.

Any who I love the acer brand personally, VAIO's are just highly priced due to brand image.

It really depends on what you want to do with it, a mac is mainly good for graphics and video productions.

in my opinion you made the best decision ever to buy a mac you can do everything a windows person can do + more =D just figure it out take your time i run on a make all my seo tools no prob any bots i just use my parralels

I've had great experience with hp, acer, lenovo, toshiba and samsung. Go ahead and check them out, macs do have good resale value though.

Honestly, I have a macbook pro and a gaming computer with dual sli and 2 27 inch monitors and I like the macbook more. It's all just personal preference.

How can you regret buying a Mac?? I just bought a Macbook Pro and it's the best laptop I've ever owned.

IMHO Dell Vostro/Latitude are the best when you need a good performance for a low price.

MAC is like a ring of power - a useless shiny object that corrupts hobbits. No offense to the MAC lovers. :-)
