Bought a mac and i regret it

I bought a mac and i deepy regret it. I cant do anything on this damn thing. I'm thinking about buying a new computer, what brand of laptop should i go with to do a little business on. I want a good brand

There are 2 kind of people- mac and windows (pc). You're obviously windows person, that's why mac does not fit your personality. Regarding laptop- $500-$600 is enough to purchase a laptop for "a little business". I have Samsung, working fine for a year and a half already
 
Can recommend an Asus zenbook. I have the UX31A and it's the best decision I've made to be honest.

It's ultra-mobile, thin as hell, light as hell, matte screen for traveling and working outdoors, great battery life (6h+) and powerful enough to run all my SEO tools and stuff.
 
I guess you're just not used to it. If you worked previously on windows it can be a pretty big shock. I remember when I first came into contact with some mac workstation in school and I couldn't handle the thing at all. I'd say try to hold on to it for a few days and get used to it, if it doesn't fit then go back to windows.
 
Lol, I hate macs too... But their retina display rocks... So I am planning to buy a apple monitor just because of their image quality...

definitely a windows guy! Would you suggest best buy. Everytime i go there, their computer prices seem so over rated.

yeah retina is pretty awsome. i got the mbp 13" and i dont like it cause i cant do anything on it. thinking about selling it on craigslist. As for the iMac the newer ones that are as thin as my macbook they rock!

When I purchase pc's, lap tops etc...I just go to store, state my budget and ask for the best configuration. I am not someone who knows a lot about hardware. While they are showing me what they have I just drop in some random sentence like:"Oh, 8Gb RAM, nice" so they think that I know something. This way they won't try to sell you some crap, cause they will think that you're into hardware.

Nod your head while they are talking. When you see that the sales is almost closed, ask them why they think this one (the one they choose as a best option) is better than the 2nd best. If you see their points are valid tell them that you will probably buy that, but you have to consult your wife.

After that visit internet and see if the price for that PC/lap top is good. If there are no better offers at the table, go back wave your plastic and let them know that you will probably come back to buy some good gaming mouse or a printer. This way, you will have their loyalty and ass kissing while entering your pin code will be guaranteed.

It always feel nice when people are kissing your butt.
 
been thinking of getting a mac mini for app development, just worried I might not be able to adapt to it and it would be a complete waste of money ;)
 
I regret it also... this big monster on my desk makes so much things harder...
 
If you use bootcamp on your mac you can easily have a Windows OS on it as well.
I started off with windows and I still use it today. But i needed a thin sturdy laptop and the macbook was the only one that fit what I was looking for. Eventually it grew on me and I always find myself coming back to it, it's just a pleasure to use.
 
What I would do is just install windows on your mac instead. This way you wont be wasting money.
 
Because you haven't got used to it yet, give it time.. Sell it if you insist.
 
You do know that you can install Windows on a mac right? Use the built in bootcamp feature. With VMWare you can even boot your physical bootcamp partition inside mac or just reboot into windows. It's essentially dual booting. Mac is good for a lot of stuff, but takes some getting used to.

TLDR: Just install Windows using bootcamp.
 
Get a toshiba, samsung or something similar. The more simple it looks the better
