Hi there everyone, hope you doing well:)!

I manage some IG accounts and I having some issues with story views in one of them. The account is nearly at 150k followers but is unable to get a good amount of story views. Is barely unable to get 2k views and I guess those numbers are too low for that amount of followers.

I've never bought a single follower
and the account keeps growing well daily (400-600). I also tried with polls, quizzes, etc, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas os how I could improve those numbers?

Yes, so with Instagram, you have to prove your story is worth sharing on explore page. Do people engage with your stories? Remember that IG is a user-generated content platform. Stories that invoke reactions from people work best. Polls is a trend I would stay clear of. Make sure to add a hashtag into your story, one that works best with your niche. The best method for me is to direct users to my story organically, never ask them to check it out straight up. Maybe you upload some exercise clip and it cuts off due to a time limit on IG, you can tell your followers that the rest is in your story. Good luck

why wouldn't you use polls?

Unfortunately, spammers are running it to shit and poll dependent users get the possibility for shadow ban. This is purely speculation on my part based on tests I've conducted. It adds up tho, why would an influential page use polls more than once a day, don't they have any actual content to put out? Try at your risk

Depends on what type of page it is. Would need more info before being able to provide any type of useful advice.

I'd really say they do: on my last ones (one with a poll and another with quiz) people interacted with those elements more than 300 times in each some so, at least the people who see them, interact with them. I try using all the features IG allows, I usually go for quizzes but I also use questions, music, slide ones, hashtags and location.
I'll think I'll try inviting my followers going to the story through the posts as you suggested.

Thanks!:)

The account is a repost account focused on travel niche. The posts are not doing bad (considering the last algo update which make the engagement drop a bit) but the amount of story views I'd say is definitely poor.

What kind of content are you posting now that isn't doing well? I like to always focus on the human element of things, and humans always gravitate towards the same things on social media as they do in real life, Attractive people (of whatever sex they prefer), luxurious items that they can't afford, the food they want to eat, etc. Sexy women work best in my experience. Not sure what you are posting now, but I'd suggest experimenting with your content more.

That is an interesting point TBH. And I've heard about womens ones but the page is focused on travel pics so is what I upload: tropical places, cities, maybe some sunsets and so. The engagement has dropped a bit since the last IG update but nothing to really worry about I guess (from 3k-4k to 1.5k-2.5k in each post). The real problem are the story views not only cause I guess are too low for the page size, they also started being a problem in order to close deals for promotion and advertising.
