BlueHost for WordPress?

Hi guys,

I'm in need of a new WordPress hosting and have been hearing quite a lot about BlueHost.

What wordpress hosting would you recommend, should be relatively cheap and but also do the job?

Do any of you have experience with BlueHost because I've read quite a lot of negative reviews online and this is concerning me, since I was planning on getting BlueHost.

A big no-no.

I used them in the past.

- Their live support is so bad
- They started being down almost twice a week
- Slow servers

In general, avoid Endurance International Group (EIG) companies like the plague (i.e. hostgator, bluehost)

I would recommend namecheap. Their live chat support is amazing.

Yes, this is what I've heard. I'm definitely not going to be hosting with any EIG companies (which happens to be a lot!).

I've decided to go with ahead with Namecheap. I need a .com domain name, where should I buy that and how do I integrate with my namecheap hosting?

If what you have seen so far on them is all Negative stuff then why in the world would they even be on the list and asking about them.

If you want true wordpress hosting look at wp engine

If you want a solid web host provider check the market place here lots of great providers listed there.
 
Keep in mind that when they call it "WP hosting" 9 out of 10 times it's just marketing and normal hosting. Take a look at the marketplace.

I host all my sites with https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/100-ssd-unlimited-hosting-exclusive-bhw-discounts.861547/page-17 @HudsonWebServices haven't failed me yet.
 
also namecheap, support is 100% spot on, they are cheap and if you ask for different IP/subnets to your other packages are happy to get you sorted, best I have used to date.

Edit - I had a site on bluehost, terrible experience; slow and crap support.

Avoid them or any host gator owned companies for that matter. I use bhw member aheadhost, I upgraded to dedicated hosting with them.

I've had a look at this, and it does look good.

I think at this point, Namecheap seems the most appealing to me and it has great reviews. Now I need to buy a .com domain, what provider do you recommend?

I only use namecheap or namesilo for domain names.

Just to confirm, I can buy a domain from namecheap separately and then go ahead and buy a WP hosting plan for that domain? Is the setup for namecheap relatively easy and fast?
 
You can buy a domain through whoever you like, namecheap are um cheap but if you go with someone else, simply point the name servers at namecheap and you are set. Hosting setup takes a few mins as they use softaculous to install WP like many other hosting providers, so again, 1-2 mins.

Good to hear. I think I'm set and will go ahead and purchase the domain and hosting with namecheap.

Thanks you for helping me making this decision.
 
Siteground is amazing and very fast. Their support alone is worth gold.
