I recommend self hosted Wordpress. Its just so easy to use. Thousands of themes and ample plugins to suite your needs. They constantly update so you know the team is on the ball.

Wordpress has more features.
Blogger has a new, simple interface.

Both get indexed quickly.

If you have your own domain like you said just get a free 000webhost account and install wordpress.

WordPress on a self-hosted account it the best way to go. I wouldn't even bother with Blogger unless your starting a personal blog.

self hosting wordpress of course but blogger can be powerfull to if you dedicate your time to build a decent blog

Wordpress is pretty much the answer for all of your questions. But if you want free hosting with the ability to have whatever domain you want, blogger is your answer. Blogger has also more customization that people think and is also way easier to manage overall.

But if you want to be able to twick everything, go for wordpress.
