I'm rather new to the whole SEO game so bear with me. I have a couple questions about Blogger and Wordpress

Which one is better in terms of content, how the page looks, functionality, features, etc.?

Which one (if any) does Google find easier/ which is better for SEO?

Which one is better (if any) for monetizing?

And of course, which is overall better?

Thanks

WordPress is very customizable and there is an abundant amount of SEO plugins.

wordpress is very powerful..but blogger belong to google

Wordpress is better in my opinion. Very easier to use very customisable and lots of good plugins.

Blogger is simple but not as much functionality IMHO.

OP, which wordpress are you referring to, self-hosted or the wordpress.com?

If you're planning to monetize, go for Blogger/Blogspot. Wordpress.com has a lot of restrictions, even just posting a clickbank affiliate link can make your blog banned/disabled.

If you're talking about the self-hosted wordpress, then go for self-hosted wordpress. It is more flexible and you have more control as you own your own domain and host it on your hosting account. Plus, as mentioned above, it has loads of plugins for both appearance and performance as well as SEO purposes.

From my experience WP posts get indexed faster. (i.e. within a few hours.)

Definitely blogger over wordpress if its subdomain. Wordpress is probably better for self hosting, but I like the simplicity of blogger templates etc.

You are going for free hosting then go with Blogger

If you are buying domain then Wordpress definitely

Your best option is to get wordpress and set up your own site. Blogger is nice and all, but I would only use it to play around with, and learn some things. Self-hosted for wordpress is the right thing to do too.

In the long run, WordPress is far superior. After all, there really isn't much of a reason why you shouldn't go with it. You should probably be able to cough up at least the money for self-hosting, and if not, it's only a couple articles of work.

yeah use wordpress or save a few quid and get a cpanel hosting, long term is better for u..,,,bloger is pang dnt use

Personally I think Wordpress is better, is more customizable and they have more themes to choose from. But regarding content you have to provide it. Plus wordpress SEO plugins are loved by Google. And in my experience building links using them wordpress ranks higher than any other web 2.0

Blogger has been known to shut blogs down for no good reason and classify them as SPAM BLOGS. If you write SEO content than WordPress would be a better pick. Although, I am skeptical about the security of WordPress. The system seems to be built by hackers. Do your research. If you use WordPress, stay away from the plugins and keep the template simple-Content is King.

I would suggest to take the time and learn HTML coding and use EditPlus to design your own websites. Creating your own blog with a rss feed built right in is not that difficult.

BUILD BOTH. i utilize both wordpress and blogger for my web 2.0s. unless you are only aiming for ranking a wp or blogger than thats tough. i would go for blogger just because my wordpress web2.0 got banned and i havent got any banned accounts yet in blogger.

Use Blogger if you are just starting out so that you aren't pouring money down a rat hole. Blogger can be a lot of fun while you are learning and testing your strategies. Go with wordpress after you have earned enough to cover a domain and hosting for one year.

I plan on buying a domain name but I'm not sure if I will buy my own hosting

If any body can offer tips that help specifically relate to blogger this would be of great help. I have blogs on both. thank you in advance.
