Black hat seo is dangerous?

Anything can be dangerous. Waking up at 3am to take a leak can be dangerous if you trip and fall down the stairs. Take steps to ensure that you eliminate as much "danger" from the equation...

ok.. i'm feed up with this link velocity thing and i tried blasting links to one of my sites. it jumped it's ranking to 4-7 spots and had been their for three weeks now.. So what can you say about link velocity? Crazy but I guess it doesn't affect ranking that much. Yes it does but to certain degree. Wouldn't google consider if that particular link comes from viral posting??? Anyway, the most dangerous part of bh seo is if you won't try it yourself. Take some risk man...

According to the most part of the cases, link velocity is important in the long period, if you want to stay high in the serp you may try to make all those links look natural in the appearing speed, but if you want to stay high for a brief period you can blast the hell out with any kind of spammy links, but with time your ranking will probably be negatively affected. Obviously, there are cases and cases. I've seen a bunch of sites ranked exclusively with spammy links being at the top the serp. Maybe it's a case, maybe they won't last long, or who knows what.

meh... white hat seo is dangerous as well. MANY powerful websites that apparently were "doing everything right" got penalized for over optimized anchors or not enough relevant anchors.

Blackhat is for short high rankings.
Whitehat is for longer med/high rankings.
Blackhat is for pros only. If you dont know what you are doing you will waste a lot of time.

For the love of god NO!! Don't start your own SEO business if you have no history of success and don't even know what you're doing........ what is going through your head when you thought of that man..? if anything make some sites of your own to practice. Only offer the service once you've perfected your craft.

If you take on local businesses websites as your "lets see if I'm good at SEO" test sites you're honestly a dick. I've hired to many god damn people like that.. who aren't good at what they do and want money for it.. basically you want to learn the craft and balance all the risk on MY website and bankroll.. that drives me fucking nuts!! lol

Starting an seo company without even knowing the basics is dangerous.

I know the basics, just haven't tried yet. I'm not saying I'm going to test out a bunch of methods on other people's websites, for now I have experience with youtube videos and that is what I will offer for now, when I will try some methods for websites and if they will work I will offer that kind of service too. As I stated in my OP, SEO here doesn't exist. To rank a business, and here all businesses are strictly local, is enough to register them on google places and do a minimal SEO to win the serps, I don't have to rank websites for high competion keywords, competion here doesn't even exist, half of the activities have a website made 4 years ago and 0 backlinks, you can't find them not even if you search for their name, and the other half doesn't even have a websites or a facebook page . I will offer to people only solid methods, I'm not going to take money for things I don't even know well. My activity won't be the classical web marketing agency, I am a musician and videomaker, and I'm going to open a recording and videomaking studio with the possibility to offer services to promote on youtube the videos and music made in my studio. I already do SEO for my things, but when I looked to the situation here in the city, I thought it would be very cool to add web marketing to my services, because it would be great to have a work that I love so much. I'm studying really hard, here on blackhat, on the internet, and I buyed a lot of books on the search analysis, SEO and marketing in general, I'm not going to go unprepared. Also my business will start in December, 3-4 months are enough to test some methods to rank websites and study a bit.
