If the software is deemed valuable by the users, a Lifetime plan wil be your Death Knell!

You should opt for an annual plan; that way you can continually improve your product as the market changes.

I could run off a long list of great products that no longer exist because the creators could not foresee the purchasing curve.

Remember XSitePro? An improved version would still be around had Paul Smithson went to an annual subscription plan.

Adobe had enough foresight to understand this; I was furious when they went subscription based, but I understood it was necessary for product survivability and development.

You're 100% correct and I initially planned on keeping an annual subscription but one of my friends who's into creating software for local business suggested that for this particular product I should go for a lifetime subscription model. I'm open to suggestions however, let's see what happens after the beta.

Also, are you in or what? xD

I would love to but my plate is overflowing at the moment and I NEVER make commitments that I cannot keep.

Monthly and annual plans would work well. Try to add an affiliate program, this will help you get a few extra sales.
