New update v0.1.13:

- GMT2 will now exit properly when closed: All threads will be disposed of.
- Fixed unable to update username, if the username is available.
- Added 6 new application styles.
- Fixed module still continuing if the account is paused and the module has already started.
- Increased delay after failing to scrape enough users with a specific scraping parameter. (should fix most of the "stopped all modules" error)
- Fixed issue of where scraping would continue pointlessly if the filter "max days old post" was enabled and the bot was scraping from a specific hashtag feed while all posts were older than the specified amount of days.
- Improved whitelist dialog and added ability to refresh followings from the whitelist directly.
- Fixed getting stuck in a login loop when the session was expired.
- Fixed crash when saving some settings (template settings, account settings, ...)

Currently have been mainly working on the batch uploader and it is nearly done, the only thing to do is implement custom caption support.

Waiting for the notification for the update, filling pumped.
The "stopped all modules" thing was dragging my process down.

One idea/suggestion for the batch uploader: What about a hashtag spinner? We are gonna be able to add our hashtags, lets say 100 hashtags, and then the "spinner" will give us an amount of random hashtags of these 100. With this way we can avoid shadowban from using the same hashtags all over again.

Ouu that hashtag spinner sounds like a good idea.

What template do you recommend for medium to high aggression?

4f65d - But double check all the settings, since that is an old template and some of the new delays there were implemented since then will be by default still on 0.

Recent Activity, does that follow the new followers of a user?

It follows the user that interacted with a user recently, e.g. users who commented in the last 10 minutes on a specific users post.

The way the batch uploader is currently implemented (and working) is that you have a collection of post pools. A post pool can be anything ranging from rss feed to just monitoring a folder automatically. (over time I will add more post pool types, but I just want to get it working for now) Now, for each account, you can choose to enable a post pool for that account or not. You can have as many post pools as you want per account. Then depending on various settings on your account (how many posts per day, when to work, etc.) the bot will pick a random post pool and from that post pool it will pick a random media (currently only images).

Each post pool also can be assigned to as many caption pools as you want. A caption pool is basically the same as a post pool, only difference being, instead of image paths, it contains captions. You can then also enable various settings in the post pool one of them being to automatically pick one comment from each caption pool. So if you have 2 caption pools enabled for a specific post pool, and one of these caption pools is just normal comments and the other consists of 3-4 tags per comment. Then the bot will get 2 random comments from their respective caption pools and merge them together.

Hah awesome I'm using that template on 2 accounts, also thank you for the clarification on the recent user activity.

I got a suggestion, I feel like there should be an edit option when you right click comments, etc, rather thn just delete.

Also getting status "too many requests made" while scraping to like images on one account

Wow. That wasnt what I expected,it's by far better of what I had in mind!
I'm really impressed! Cant wait for it man, keep up the good work!

Hey guys, can I ask you what is your follow back rate? Because mine is stuck at 3%. Can anybody recommend me any better filter?

Follow people from an account that does follow\unfollow too. (You can see that by the account's followers-followings ratio.) Also check the account's engagement.
Ignore people without a profile picture.
Set to follow people that has max 800-1k followers, and a minimum of 300 followings.
Set to follow people that has at-least 5 posts.
Set to like 2 recent pictures of each person. (It's in the module settings)
Last step- get followers.

@JJJackson
Anybody suggest to implement DM feature?
It will be awesome if we mass DM to our follwers and others with links to click on to.

I hope it makes sense :P

When the bot follows a user, it adds the user to a database with the date they were followed. Then based on this date, it can determine if it's time to unfollow them. If you manually follow users outside of GMT2, the bot doesn't know when they were followed and will ignore the unfollow after x days for those users. The reason you can't see those users in the whitelist right after following them is that your followings is only refreshed every 20 minutes (this will be done in the background), so if you would wait at least 20 minutes, you would see the users you followed outside of GMT2. If they are followed by GMT2 itself, they will appear immediately. It doesn't matter if they are in the unfollowed database or not, if you are following them, they will appear in the Whitelist to choose from.

So it's simply impossible to know when users were followed outside of GMT2 since Instagram does not store this information. - However, I will see if I can add a "Refresh Followings" button, so you can add users to the whitelist if you just followed them.

@JJJackson If I may suggest a work around to this, the bot not knowing when an account was followed outside of gmt2 and thus unfollowing that same day.
What Followliker and MP use is that when they refresh the Followings, that is the day that the bot sets as the account being followed (Day 0).
So, if I follow today and the bot refreshes today, today is Day 0.
If I follow today, and the gmt2 was off until tomorrow, tomorrow when it does the Followings refresh will be Day 0 for that account followed outside of gmt2.
This way if we set to Unfollow after X 1, or X7, the bot will wait 1 day or x number of days before unfollowing since the day that the account goes into the followings database is day 0.

Would you be able to implement this work around?

Hey! I know the function "Scraping users who liked a media", but can you add the same function without putting the link of the photo? I mean for example "Scraping users who liked last media" and then put the username of an account

You can use the 'recent activity' filter for that.
Formation: kimkardashian;02:00

It will scrape every user that commented and liked at kim's posts, the past 2 hours

Thank you for answering, these are my current settings:
Followers range: 5 to 1000
Followings range: 300 to 8000
Post range: 5 to 9999

Is that fine?

Yeah, you're good to go. Don't forget to ignore people without a profile picture

For some reason it is trying to add the same people over and over again and says successful.

JJackson, can you help me with this please?

Instagram made me add a phone number when I logged in from a different computer once.

Ever since then, this is all I get with this tool. (BTW, I'm able to login to instagram fine from the same computer the tool is installed on).

Maybe you are temp banned from following.
IG will say that you followed them, even if doing it through the browser or App. If you go back and search that "followed user", it'll say Follow, as if you never followed them.

Double check by going back, log out, log back in and search the user you believe you followed.

Another reason, could be you set the bot to follow too fast. IG will temp ban the bot from following as in the manual example above. It tells the bot "successful follow", when in reality it was not successful.

Downloaded the bot friday noon, configured it and tested it out on a newly made account.
Followed 70 users and set it up to like around 100 pictures. Worked like a charm. This was on the version the download link holds. I updated it two times since then, currently on v0.1.13.
Follow module still works but Like module stopped working. When i check my logfile i see:

Code:

2017-09-17 11:40:05.8674|Debug|InstagramLibrary.InstaAcc.SetStatus|Status changed: Done liking posts - [I]myusername[/I]

In the errorlog there is this:

Code:

Did i mess up a setting somewhere? Or did i push the limits of normal use and instagram blocked something?

Nice bot btw, not too complicated and simple in use, great work!
