best traffic?

Hey guys so I used to make videos about 2 years ago on youtube and I'm finally going to start getting back into it on my channel (I havent been active the past 2 years) For my channel stats I currently have over 4000 subscribers and a machinima partnership still. So id figure i should start using it to make some extra income and take advantage of my partnership. So I realized I a good sense of humor and im usually the funniest person out of my group of friends so I though id start doing gameplay and commentating over them while video recording myself. So what would be the best way to gain some true views and subscribers and pretty much more attention to my videos? I know forsure i'll have content gamers would enjoy and im going to be purchasing promotion services on fiverr. Im trying to stay away from buying views since Id want to gain targeted views and subscribers. What would be the best options you guys would recommend to promote my vids? Thanks in advance!

Im sorry and one more question to everyone could I get introuble or get my youtube videos banned if im high in the video? (not smoking on camera just high) im more funny and creative at that moment lol

If i were you i would try live streaming and playing different games(more keywords targeted in youtube). My reasoning behind this is the fact that by live streaming you can build a youtube and twitch audience at the same time. Record 20-30 minutes of streaming that has some good content and upload it to youtube.

Figure out methods to get your youtube and twitch out there.

I have never attempted to make money from youtube or twitch but i have an intimate relationship with gaming culture >
i would believe that the best way to get out there is by contacting other gaming channels that are bigger then you, offer a collaboration or just straight up ask for a shout out.
If you are to buy traffic from another youtube/twitch channel, buy from people that you found on your own, not from people who are advertising real youtube/twitch traffic from fiverr.
Just contact a youtube channel or twitch that has 50k subscribes and message them being like
"yo can i buy a shout-out for $20"
For monetization forget fiverr completely.
Why? Because the second you post gigs on fiverr relating to your videos people will spread the word through your entire network that your doing so, this will make everyone think your a lamer and move on. Fiverr in this situation is cancer.

If i were to monetize a gaming video or stream it would be through contacting other people and saying "Hey i have a large follower base on twitch and youtube ill lick your "Insert gaming product here" in front of 20,000 people if you give me X amount of $"


Building a social network is very important as well, go onto gaming forums, constantly communicate with as many people you can who play the same games as you do.
Think of it as weaving a giant social web. As you weave your web you will find people who are equivalent to finding a nugget of gold in a pile of dirt.

Oh and for the weed thing just don't smoke on videos, you can mention weed culture and say that you smoke it, just say you live in a place where it is allowed. If it is not allowed where you live i wouldn't even give away that you smoke you will just get swatted or have the cops called on you.

ask 20 people a day for a month, don't ask 900k channels ask 10k-50k channels think if you can get a 10k channel shoutout for $5 thats $450
Start off with free networking such as on forums(building a social network) or ask allot of 10k-50k channels for free shout outs. Perhaps Invest $100 on shoutouts from channels and see where it takes you.
