Hello,

I want to create my websites locally on my computer and then either upload it or copy the settings to the one hosted online...

I used flywheel in the past and it was good and did what it meant to do but now after an update, It doesn't load and get stuck in the starting.
Is there any better alternative.?

Thank you.

install XAMPP it will provide you apache server + phpymadmin which will make it just few minutes to run wordpress locally :)

I use MAMP. Simple and always does the trick. Use All-in-One Migration for copying the site to a real server in 2 minutes :)

Edit: I'm on Mac by the way!

I tried Wamp in the past but it was a little complicated to configure and create new sites...
Flywheel was one-click creation.

+1 for XAMPP. I didn't use it in the last year, but I used it a lot in the past. It's worth to try!

As previously mentioned, XAMP would probably be the best go-to web server solution for you to start with.

My vote goes for wamp, if u are on windows. It's easier to customize than xampp.

If you are feeling fancy, try dockr too. ;)

I use AMPPS to build sites locally and use all in one migration plugin to export >> import.

I find it works the best for me.

Good luck!

Local by flywheel is easier to setup too! ALso exporting is easier and you can share a live link as well
