Best Adsense placements for maximum CTR

Hi everyone.

I quit blogging 2 years back to pursue ecom.

Now I have got enough time and want to resume it again.

Earlier I used to rely on link ads mainly but as they are no more, will you please guide me about the placements you're using for the maximum CTR?

you can use auto ads and let google decide. however you might need to adjust it, as they can load a ton of ads into your site and even break the layout.

Put ads below title
Put ads between paragraphs.
Put ads below the post.
Blend with content as much as possible

add native ads and matched cotents ads. Those are new ad types of adsense

First, disable Auto Ads, they don't perform well for me. (Tip - Only enable them through an Experiment on Adsense)

The next thing if you are using WordPress is to use the Newspaper theme. The theme is heavy, yes, but there are ways you can optimize it.

The best part of this theme is the mobile theme plugin. Install it, and you can use the mobile Ad slots for your Adsense Banners. It offers 3 Ad slots for Articles which I think are enough, plus a footer slot.

This mobile theme does not use their bloated and useless Tagdiv composer. It is light, and it is good for SEO. (All my Adsense-related websites use this setup).

In summary, put more emphasis on mobile because:

1. Google uses mobile for indexing

2. Many users these days visit websites on mobile

I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all solution.

I used to own a blog network, which I sold for quite a bit of money.

What I noticed was ad placements that did really well on one blog were actually quite lousy for another blog.

It's like trying to play whack a mole when it comes to getting ad clicks.

So, how did I fix this problem?

I run experiments on each blog.

I treated them as their own distinct publishing identity.

What this means is I made sure that I optimize placement for each blog on a case-by-case basis.

I wasn't looking for a one-size-fits-all or cookie-cutter solution.

And guess what!

I was making $2000 off just one blog alone.

That's how effective this strategy was.

I'm sure I could've made way more money if I sold my own courses or other digital products.

But $2000 a month for having published something way in the past, month after month, is not too shabby.

If I can do it, you can do it too.

The key is to optimize individually.

Don't look for some sort of magic bullet solution that works for all blogs at all times for all niches in all circumstances.

No such animal exists.

If you insist on such "a solution,” chances are, you're going to be leaving a lot of money on the table.
