beating MY weed addiction.

An update.

Today I can celebrate 1 week clean from weed.
Saturday I got drunk to keep my head off the weed but turned out it was not the best idea because yesterday I had like a really bad hangover and I know that a good joint would solve that, but I was stronger, I didn't go to get weed. Instead, I went running, which also turned out was a pretty bad idea :D but hey, we live and we learn.

And today Im very happy and proud of myself.

Let's get it!

Wishing a very productive and exciting week to everybody!

Firstly I had a big portion of a hangover food before I went running, but at the time I made the meal I didn't know that I will come up with the idea to go running :D
So when I was running I had the pain in the left part of the stomach, the regular pain you get when you go run after eating.
Secondly, I had the hangover, but I made it to the end, I took it slowly trough all the pain.. I looked at it as my punishment for drinking.

Can relate hard, smoked 5-7 joints per day over a fair few months.

Stopped over a year ago today, never been tempted since. But then again, I was never really addicted, so once I saw it had negative effects on my life, I just stopped.

You can do it, it's all mental, nothing physical. Occupy your mind with something else, like breaking TikTok as you said :D

Weed generates sociological dependence, not physical dependence, maybe you shouldn't give it more value than it has and maybe you have other problems and the weed can be an excuse. Good luck

5-7 joints a day and you think you were not addicted? :D that sounds like an addiction to me :D
I've been smoking for the last 7 years, now realizing I have lost like 3-4 years from life because of the weed. I could be doing things only 1% are doing, because actually I'm pretty sharp, but the drugs have messed me up.
Sometimes I want to cry :D
Not going back to it 100%. Never.

Yeah, perhaps you're right. But I just quit overnight, never went back to it since, I wouldn't really call that an addiction. Rather something I did multiple times a day.

I also feel less sharp than I did before I smoked that much. Such as short term memory less, amongst other things such as reaction time. But I have always been a chiller, so I guess I'm fine with it :D

bro stop this shitty addiction now, i have a good old friend of mine who died from OVERDOSE..

I have been there at my 20 , it is a painful processes if you use to it , be strong and you will make it

Good luck and don't give up the temptation!
It's hard, is very hard, whoever says it's not is lying.
But it's not impossible.
Just try hard to resist for 3 weeks 0 one month and then your body will not feel the need anymore.

All the best!

bro most of the time addictions are a result of some other unresolved issues in your life. Sit down once and think about everything thoroughly.

User also said it was over the span of a few months, I was more like you, smoked daily for five years. Now, I’ve been sober for 3 months and feel 100% better. From what I’ve read, it can take up to a year to completely lose the cravings. Just trying to find new healthy habits to consume that extra time. Making money in IM is a great activity to keep you occupied! Stick with it and it’ll get easier as time goes on.

Good luck!

I also have a tip for you : Don’t replace the addiction with another drug like alcohol. Instead try to start a new sport or replace it with computer games, something for that you need time)

Smoking weed for me I dont even get high. Its more of a cigarette that I smoke twice a day. No high, Helps pain in my back. Ive been smoking for 11 years. So Again its more of a cigarette to me then a product that gets me "high" So fuck all of you talking down on weed. Id rather smoke weed then pop pills to help the pain in my back thank you.

Yes, that is right, but if you do it for many years you already forgoten all your problems, in that kind of lifestyle you feel that everything is fine and you're doing great, nothing to worry about, but clearly it is not.
Me personally - I know all my problems, won't go in details here, will solve them on my own. Thanks!

Good luck!

You're right, and actually I'm doing just that. But Saturday I felt like taking a break from everything - I was out running every evening for 5 days straight, I wanted to take a rest. But in the future, I'll try to keep me away from alcohol too.

As I said in my first msg, I have nothing against weed, it's me - my personality.
Im a strong believer that weed works differently for everybody yet the same.

8-STEP BLUEPRINT TO STOP SMOKING WEED ASAP!!!!

I've been smoking cannabis for 30+ years and have stopped multiple times. Sometimes I've stopped for 2+ years or more. I'm also heavily ingrained in the cannabis industry, work with tons of cultivators, producers, CBD product line owners and more in multiple capacities. So I'm going to give you the EXACT formula to stop EVERYTIME!!!

STEP#1
1.) Stop smoking blunts or anything with tobacco in it when smoking your cannabis initially.

STEP#2
2.) Do not smoke before going to sleep or when you wake up. It makes you crave smoking a TON more when you go to bed high or smoke immediately when awakening

STEP#3
3.) Do not smoke at least 1 hour after eating. Same as above, your body starts to correlate things and automatically start to assume when you eat it will also get a THC blast to follow which makes the body start sending signals to our brain which we call cravings

STEP#4
4.) Start weening yourself off by not smoking in the daytime and only reward yourself at night. This is key to being productive during your day time hours and rewarding yourself a bit at night

STEP#5
5.) Do not overindulge!!! Most people think they need to smoke 2 blunts to get high but if they simply take a few pulls, stop and wait for the effects they'd see it takes 1/10th of what you normally smoke to get the same level of euphoria.

STEP#6
6.) Smoke natural loose herbs that are renown for reducing the urge to smoke like (catnip, rosemary, marshmellow, mullein). Doing this knocks out 2 birds with one stop, because most of us are addicted to the smoking procedure just as much as the high. So by smoking an alternative your body and brain gets psychological satisfaction.

STEP#7
7.) Smoke hemp flower instead of THC based cannabis aka marijuana. All smokeable hemp flower has less than 0.3% THC which means it does not get you high but instead has high levels of CBD which in turn relaxes the body and again reduces your urge. This is a very very good happy medium because smoking hemp gives you a different kind of feeling, not really a high but more a head high and rush that satisfies those bodily cravings

STEP#8
8.) This is the final and one of the most important steps I used to stop repeatedly. Start WORKING OUT!!!! When your body starts craving, we all get this artificial boost of jittery energy. I noticed that when that anxious feeling would surface, all I would need to do is get down and do 10-20 pushups which zaps that feeling and levels you out.

This is the BLUEPRINT to stopping whenever you want!!!! Let me know if have any other questions and good luck!

but I want to stop, not to keep smoking it in any way or form :D but thanks for the guide.

The last step is weening off completely. Follow the steps and eventually you’ll have no urges and can stop completely
