I am running GSA Search Engine Ranker to create back links automatically. One of the websites I am using is translated into several different languages and it is setup so when someone visits it, it determines what language the user is using and displays the website in that language. The URLs are also setup so that they have a query at the end of them that sets the language to display.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
Now what I am wondering is should I have GSA setup to create backlinks for every language (ie: http://xyz.com/foo.html?lang=en, http://xyz.com/foo.html?lang=fr, http://xyz.com/foo.html?lang=de, etc) with the anchor text in that language? Or, just have back links created without the query string (ie: http://xyz.com/foo.html) and the anchor text in English?
Here's a more detailed explanation:
- User visits http://xyz.com and using HTTP headers, it displays the users preferred language
- When the user navigates to another page, the link it goes to is http://xyz.com/foo.html?lang=en (If the users language is English)
