Backlinks and SEO Question

Hey BHW,

So over the past few months I've acquired some competitors domains that have expired. Several of them have thousands of backlinks, so I suppose what I'm trying to get at what is the best way to create backlinks to our main website? Should I do a 301 or a 302 complete redirect of the entire website, should I create content on the pages that have backlinks and fill the content with posts/articles in our niche; and if that's the case, should I also create several backlinks to our website doing so?

I'm not quite sure what the best approach to this situation is, so any feedback would be great.

If you want to go the secure way I'd recommend you to use these expired domains as PBNs. I would set them up and let them age for a while before posting a link to money site.
