Automated Backlink Builders

Hello everyone,

On the issue of (free)backlink builders and possible google penalties:

It seems to my that, searching more or less educated opinions on various forums, the consensus is that automated backlink building can be dangerous and lead to penalties by google.

Here is my take on this, and I am anxiously awaiting feedback:

1. Automated backlink building is OK as long as it is not overdone and the only SEO tactic involved. 2. Automated Backlink Building is useful as 2nd tier option mostly or only, so as part of the link pyramid so to speak.
3. It does not hurt, but rather helps if the technique is employed combined with good content and natural links.

Am I right?

I dont recommend free backlink builders - but you could try your hand at article syndication as well as social bookmarks - two quick ways to get links.... but make sure you're getting ******** links...

Question OP,

If your targeted KWs has these parameters:

Do you realize how long it would take you to MANUALLY build BLs in order to beat out your competition?

Auto BL building is ONLY dangerous to the uneducated and underfunded BL builder. The greatest automated BL building tool becomes anathema in the hands of the wrong person. In the hands of the right people, automated BL building tools become magical wands that propel the users to rank then bank.

And in your opinion if you were to build the exact same links on the exact same pages using exactly the same content, but doing so by hand.. i.e. manually signing up to a site, manually submitting, manually email verifying and so forth... this would somehow change the outcome? Lets assume that link velocity is not a factor (which can easily be controlled on automation tools). If you think the outcome is different please explain why.

The foot print is not caused by the backlinking process but by the user.

Many different automated processes create a non-footprint backlink infrastructure. The users have some control in some situations, the developer in others and sometimes it is a combo of developer and user that keeps from building a footprinted structure.

Google's penalties are for spamming and leaving footprints. It has nothing to do with Automated backlinks.

I guess someone would benefit more from knowing what a footprint even is... (hint hint) search bar and/or google (hint hint)

And also reverse engineering top sites in your niche (given they have a "Clean" backlink profile) will help you understand what you need to do to get there.

There are many other factors, and I'm still learning some of them.. but I hope that helps.

Have you heard of tiered backlinks? The backlinks you get to your money page should be decent.

Dont go for free backlinks. They will be spammed and be of little or no value.

How exactly does someone get penalized for backlinking? More specifically, using backlink builders? or is this just attributed to certain types of backlinking?
