Hi guys,
I have been doing ASO for quiet sometime and have had many apps ranked for myself and for my clients.When I started with BHW I was a complete newbie in SEO and ASO and now I run a ASO consultancy firm making me some good $XX,XXX/month.I learned a lot of information from BHW and all those information have helped me to reach where I am today.Now I feel like its time I give back something to the community.Here is catch buddies.You can ask all your doubts about getting your app ranked and making more money from your apps here.I will try my level best to help you guys out.Instead of pming me your questions please post it here so that everyone can benefit from the knowledge shared here.

I specialize in Android but iOS is also okay with me.The main difference is that in Google Play rankings are in someway similar to seo because its a typical google product.But as for iOS the factors are different.

Do u sell installs or anything like that? Generally ppl said ios apps store tend to make money money than google play, what are your opinions in this?

yes i sell installs and aso services as part of my services..but these days i am very choosy about my clients..as for your question the answer is yes nd no...the ecpm for iOS is higher,and the amount of in app purchases that you get from iOS is more compared to google play...think of this way.people who have some amount of money only goes for iOS ..but for android there are numbers opportunities to make money..the user base for android is more which will help you to make a good amount of money..also you just need to find a right combination of ad networks to use in android..once you find this you will make a good amount of money from android..my personal suggestion would be to use admob banner ads and start app exit ads..

If you have a great idea for an app where is the best place to get started? Also who would you recommend to have create it as you can always be worried of someone stealing your ideas? Thanks!
 
What are the quickest and easiest ways to improve downloads with ASO?

if you have an idea the first thing that you should be worried about is the budget.do you have the budget to put that idea into a reality?Most android apps development costs starts from $500+ if you don't have an in-house coder..the chances of people stealing your idea is very less..because most of the programmers don't even have a marketing budget to get an app to success..by the way if you are hiring some programmers i would say you stay away from odes and freelancer..most of the people there are crap..if you are looking for an app development agency i can help you with that..

that depends on the money you have for marketing..but if you have a good budget i would say you start with Facebook app install campaigns..i would say you should choose someone who knows this Facebook game..
 
OP,
I suggest you to change Godaddy (as your hosting provider) because doesn't look very professional to have unreachable website. The other thing is if you make XX XXX per month buy your domain for 10 years not for 1

thanks for your suggestion buddy..as for me the website is working fine at my end and i don't face problems with go daddy till now..i didn't know buying for 10 years makes it look more professional..anyway i will take that into consideration..i just brought the website and set it on auto pay mode..
 
I am getting an app developed and currently writing my launch strategy and the next steps to market it. Its a game app for android and IOS and the concept is not seen in both the stores. The app will have all the viral capabilities in built. All it needs is the first 25k active users. I have around 30 days to prepare for the launch. I dont have much budget for marketing(3k). Some of the channels I thought were

1) Social Media
2) Press Release
3) Facebook Ads
4) App Review Sites

I can get around 100 people to download rate and review the app initially through my personal facebook.
These hundred people will be actively promoting the app to their friends but I am not taking that into account eight now.

I created a video for the app which has the potential to go viral with the right marketing. I will be using this video for the press release mainly.

Now my question to you is what percentage of my budget should I allocate to each of the marketing channel...
Should I buy downloads and if yes the budget to allocate and the no of downloads I can get with that budget. where can I buy the installs
I am planning to spend most of the budget on social media and also put in a lot of manual work(free) in to it.
Currently making a list of sites I can promote on.

If it was you in my place how would allocate the budget and what will be your launch strategy.

Any advice will be of great help as this is my first app launch.

wow you seem to be a guy with a plan.i like that spirit..first of all i would say you concentrate all your income on one channel i.e. either app store or google play.Marketing budget of $3k seems fair enough..but i can't comment much about this without seeing your game..the 4 channels you thought to promote are really good..but you should know how to do it else you will be wasting your money for nothing..if your app has the potential to be viral then with the first 10-15k users the app will take on its own..
Based on experience I would say you make the investments as follows:
Social Media - $200
Press Release - $200
Facebook Ads - $2000
App Review Sites - $600
but each of these channel has its own sub channels..so make you know what you are doing..hit me up on Skype if you have some doubt

yes i do have a whitelabel program for my ASO services and I am looking to expand in the countries you mentioned..right now i have 2people using my white label program and both of them are making $5k+ a month from it..as of now i am very choosy about my clients and do my best to work with corporates only..anyway we will catch up on Skype and see what you can do

if you are looking for app installs for free then i would suggest you do the aso properly and get things ranked for the keyword so that you receive some organic downloads
