Ask Me Anything About Ecommerce and Dropshipping

I have friends who make petshop products, I'm creating an online catalog and publishing them on marketplaces, I started yesterday. So far few views and no one “interested” how to leverage this? I'm from Brazil, I need to make this work go
I suggest you will build a website not only depending to those marketplaces, the downside with marketplaces is that you have a lot of competitors there, visitors will see the same products from your competitors, and you cannot increase your product because you are depending the price in the marketplace.

One of the main reasons you should have a website for your business is to increase your organization's credibility. Chances are there are several providers offering a similar service to yours. One way you can stand out is by having a website that looks good and clearly communicates quality information to your consumers.

if you build your own website, you can get the power of branding, you can increase the price, get more leads and more sales.

Are POD sites like printify/printful worth it?
Yes, they are because you don't need to print anything in bulk just link in dropshipping method, they only print if you have orders, you don't need to buy equipment and save a lot of time on the technical side of running a business, it's easy to customize a design and experiment your products. Your main focus is to do the marketing.

Hello, I have a women's clothing store. My site is only 3 months old now.
May I ask which platform is more suitable to promote clothing-type products?

Also, do you think the dress niche is worth sticking with?

what is your main traffic source? still facebook? do you easily get banned advertising on facebook? has it gotten stricter?

I would suggest Google Ads for (short term marketing) and SEO for longterm traffic and marketing.

well i can help ya little
  • Find a good niche (for blog i used to use Google trends i have no idea for ecom)
  • then search that product in the store and see if it is really good, will it solve the issue, how will a person would feel and all.
  • Buy domain related to your niche product and host it in faster network.
  • design the website and make the product highlights and all
  • if you have some budge you could also run ads and use some tiktokers to promote it
  • if that product is already been promoted, use that video for ad or in your video
  • create blog related to the niche and redirect traffic to the site
just check the quality and usefulness of the product first before promoting and sharing and have ROI.

All right Thanks

Sorry, I don't have a way to recommend products. Because there are so many ways to choose a product.

I myself use keyword research tools to select products. So I can't recommend the product to you. Since I am not an expert, I cannot vouch for the sales of the product.

If you're looking for someone to research a product. I know someone doing this on fiverr. But I'm not sure if the product they research has any value.

Can you explain a bit about the SEO approach you have when it comes to e-commerce? Do you mostly target the keywords with the content on the product pages (I suppose the product descriptions)? Or does the majority of the traffic come from blog articles and other informative posts, that you then funnel to the product pages through internal links and/or lead forms?

Also, I understand that it's all about targeting long tail keywords, but how do you compete with juggernauts like Amazon, or Etsy when it comes to product related keywords, or keywords with any purchase intent? Is it possible to rank above them on Google with your product page descriptions?

Hi,

I have recently set up a Shopify store for one of my uncles' footwear business. It is in a very niche category, the product is solid and has a wow factor (how do I know this, well, without being biased I know it is a good product) plus had some sales on other platforms apart from size issues client had nothing but good words for the product).

The thing is the Shopify store is less than 2 months old and is currently getting around 20 Unique visitors/Daily (All Organic) but no sales. I am not sure, why people are not even adding it to the cart. Whereas on other platforms I was able to make some sales.

Moreover, I was thinking of expanding the product line from 30-something to at least 400-500 products. (Rest all of those will be based on DS method) will be sourced from Alibaba. What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

Which gateways are you using to sell? Do you have any problems with these platforms with disputes? I've been fighting with payment gateways for 1 year now hahahaha

What you'd say is the minimum amount of money you need to start a profiting dropshipping store?
