Ask me ANYTHING about eBay!

Hi,

I was trying to enlist my domains to sell.
But after filled the forms, it asked me to fill
CC form before check out to Paypal.
If you don't have CC, is there any way to do
domain selling in eBay?

Thank
ABox

Do you recommend getting worldwide brands? Or is there a better alternative to finding the right product?

2002, almost 10 years now.

What type of limit are you getting? All accounts will have seller limits enforced on them until they reach a certain selling limit. I have one account that is a Top Rated Seller that still has seller limits, however they are quite high.

I can answer any questions you might have about eBay, feel free to post them here.

seller performance below standard, i can only list 8 items per month or $125 whichever comes first, however this happened like a year ago so those cases that were opened are going to expire the 20th of this month

I would like to sell a few ebooks. In order to sell them, would I have to put them on a cd or create an actual book? Thanks in advance.

I have a friend who got screwed by a dropshipper and now he's got about 20-30 sales that he can't fulfil and no money in PayPal. What's the worst that can happen when the buyer disputes start pouring in. How should he put out the fires? Any thoughts? This is a little out of my realm of experience.

Hey, nice I can ask you here :)
Where I could get bulk software for sale?
like photoshops, autocads and etc...
Thank you very much:)

I was Indefinitely suspended from Ebay due to my Shipping DSRs and because they said I changed my name during that time which was "frowned" upon by them? Anyway, what Is the best way to get back on Ebay and start selling again? I see all these "Stealth" accounts or what have you around, is this the route to go? Thanks!

I have seen many listings on ebay which says - "X" items sold so far" - I have tried to relist the listing many times but, i am not able to get the history on my listing. i have even tried to list for 30 day also.

Can you tell me how to do it or what is the requirement.

thank in advance. :)

i called ebay to tell them to raise my limits, they said to call them back on FEB. 24th do you think i should sell some stuff from now til then to get a better chance at raising my limits? or do you think they will raise them since it will be over a year that my account got limited and then the cases expire for good?

Hi,
I would like to know if you have the tutorial to make multiple Ebay and Paypal accounts?

Are you making money on eBay OP or are you just knowledgeable about it? If you're making money how much per year is it?

This is a very interesting area on eBay. Digital goods are technically all supposed to be listed as classified ads, yet thousands of digital items sell on eBay every day.

I used to have a few eBay accounts that sold purely digital items and at one point or another my listings were always removed. But there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to why they were removed.

It's almost as if your item gets to many community reports they will remove your listings. Listings removed under digital format will count as a policy strike but won't get your account suspended until you have multiple violations.

That being said certain digital products are more risky than others, ie software keys.

As you have said, putting ebooks on a physical format is one way that people bypass the digital rules. Saying you are purchasing the physical CD shipped directly allows a lot of people to sell digital information through a physical media.

This isn't a perfect method though, as I have still seen listings taken off for digital goods even when shipped through physical media.

I would say selling ebooks through CD to supplement other physical goods on your ebay account is the best way to go.

Well, when the disputes come in and he can't provide delivery info the first thing that will happen is PayPal will try to withdraw from any account he has on his paypal account to refund the buyers.

Secondly, negative feedback will likely follow and ruin his ebay reputation. The only way he can combat this is by explaining the poor dropshipper to his buyers and offer them a full refund and perhaps a discount off of a future purchase.

If his account is relatively new (<200 feedback) I would recommend that he just scrap the account all together and start up a new account. It is easier to generate sales on an account with <100 feedback that is 100% positive than trying to generate sales on an account with a string of negatives... Keep that account for after 1 year when the negative feedback drops off (well it drops off the % positive, it never drops off his permanent history) and he can begin rebuilding positives.

The last thing I would suggest is to always test a dropshipper before going all out on selling there items. It's best to start small on a secondary ebay account and list a few items from a dropshipper to test how quickly they ship items and if any of your buyers complain about the quality of the item. As your dropshipper "proves" themselves you can then transfer listings over to your primary account and increase the quantity of products you are selling from them.

No idea sorry. If you have an established business and enough money I'm sure the software publisher has bulk buying discounts that you could arrange with them directly.

Who told you that you were indefinitely suspended for those reasons? I find out more and more each day that a lot of support reps in trust and safety are completely oblivious to the reasons certain accounts are suspended in the first place. Try to call and get as much information as possible related to your suspension, and talk to as many reps or managers as possible to get the exact reason for your suspension as well as anything that can be done to have it lifted.

Stealth accounts are a possibility to return to sales but I'm not knowledgeable about those things

X items sold are only for that one current listing, not relisted items. For example, if you list a fixed price listing as "Good til Cancelled" with a quantity of let's say 100... that item will begin to show sale history after one of those items sales.

If you only put a quantity of 1 or a set duration, that sales history will go away after the sale or after the duration is up.

Selling items and receiving positive feedback for transactions always increases your chance of having your limits raised. The exact criteria that they use to determine what limits should be set to is unknown to my knowledge.
Are you making money on eBay OP or are you just knowledgeable about it? If you're making money how much per year is it?
I'm not sure about OP but I do have multiple top rated seller accounts on eBay. I spend about 5-10 hours per week on eBay and generate an extra $1-2k per month on eBay. I could probably do it full time but I have a full time job that I do which currently pays more and is more secure than doing eBay full time.

oTradeMark, thanks for answering questions while I've been away. I'm starting a blog to help people start selling on eBay, from how to make stealth accounts all the way to sourcing product and selling.

I have multiple ebay user ID's... you can register as many ebay ids as you want as long as you have multiple email addresses.

I'm not sure about paypal accounts, I've never had the need to create multiple. You could create a business account and then a premier account (1 in the name of a business like a sole proprietor or llc) the other in your name.

You can link multiple ebay accounts to one Paypal account legally?

No problem, I just found this section of BHW by accident and felt like I could help out. I'm sure your blog will definitely be more helpful among the bhw crowd since I have no knowledge about things like stealth accounts and what not.

yes, "linking" as far as entering the same paypal address in multiple listings from different eBay user ID's is as simple as typing in your email address multiple times.

eBay doesn't care how many ebay accounts you sell on as long as you are legitimate, the only thing to be careful of is that if one of your accounts gets suspended or banned and you are using the same contact info or paypal address on your other accounts, it's likely that they take action against all of your eBay accounts.

The other end of the stick is true as well though, that you can increase your selling limits by showing that you already have an established sellers account instead of building reputation for a new account.

That's why I always test out new suppliers or product sources on a new account before listing on one of my top rated seller accounts.
