I write the articles myself.

Most important: invest 5$, buy a domain and hosting and do your own thing. Stop using web 2.0 as money website
Second, start accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and promote your content to get traffic. You can use Reddit too.
Treat you blog as a business not as a hobby and invest a little to get more back.

It says you are a teacher, is it ?

My point of view !!

Better to make a simple blog and invest in a "catchy" domain name that will go well with your content!

Host your site, after that keep adding content in your site daily, 1 unique and engaging articles daily
If you can write more than 1000 or 1500 words nothing like it but it should not be less than 500 words and strictly no spinning of any kind.

Embedding a related video has worked well but if you are not comfortable then skip that step but then you should have article of at least 1000 words if not 1500 words.

Learn SEO and Keyword search along the way, this way you will rank in Google SERP and getting organic traffic to your site, look at Reddit you may want to consider it as traffic source too!

After 7-10 unique and engaging articles, monetize your site with Adsense, as your niche has some high payout keywords!
