Are the links on reddit affect SEO?

I recently posted a relevant link to my comment on a post asking for help related to business, the link is from my blog that is resourceful to the reader. I am not so good in SEO, but I came across this dofolllow/nofollow tag given to links, which I understood partially. Are all links posted on reddit be a ********/nofollow?

I'm neither an SEO expert, but I read this somewhere that after a certain upvote on your post (that contains the link), it becomes a do-follow one. Though I don't know the exact number of upvotes required, but it's some where between 15-20 upvotes I think..

Reddit is a bookmarking site isn't it ??

If that is true, that’s insanely useful.

You can just bot upvotes on multiple links and receive DF.

I have very Old & High Karma account & all links published by me is ******** backlink without any up vote !!

Above 3 upvotes (if I remember correctly) you get the full SEO value from Reddit.

No the nofollow tags do not help you to rank and if you make comments on reddit all of them are no follow, just the links you drop on the threads are follow.

With certain number of quality upvotes you can get a dof0llow backlink. And if you are a moderator you can get a sidebar backlink of a subreddit which is a dof0llow link. I received a sidebar dfollow backlink for my site with the help of my friend, but I did not see any special SEO effect from that link.
btw reddit is a good site to get direct visitors for your site. But that community hates spamming. You need to be clear enough to post things that gets visitors.

Mostly their social signals do influence rankings. A site that suddenly reaches front page on Reddit does get a boost on serps as a fresh site, but it doesn't last too long.

What about youtube? If a video gets ranked, is it a kind of social signal?

More importantly Reddit can provide actual traffic if done right. But be aware that Reddit SEO is a thing unto itself and there are players who pretty much specialize in that. Dig a little deeper before you make the decision if Reddit is right for you.

This. Make sure you're not perceived as spamming or advertising unless the conversation naturally calls for it, or someone else asks.

Getting a d0follow backlink from Reddit isn't as simple as getting throwing 15 upvotes to it. On the subreddits that I own, some only require 1 or 2 upvotes whereas some other subs require nearly 20 upvotes.
It can be a goldmine in terms of traffic. However, the Reddit crowd is extremely savvy and they will downvote a post (or even flag it for removal) if they think that you're doing it to get some quick traffic. They really don't take kindly to self referral on it.

In terms of the power of these backlinks, it really depends on the quality of the content that you write (as with any post). Done right, it can be extremely effective in raising the rankings of your money site. Remember that comments are a key factor in this too.

Yes if you get upvotes reddit will provide you with the backlinks.

Upvotes are not the only factor that decides if a link becomes do-follow. Reddit does affect SEO but it is not the holy grail, as you will be needing more links than only reddit.

Yes, In these days, Reddit is most popular viral platform. You can choose it to bring up SEO improvement as well.
