Expired domains can still work, but I Think the selection process is much more important now, A clean history and strong niche relevance matter more to me than age or DR alone.

expired domains usually have some backlinks pointed to them

I usually choose fresh domains when the goal is building trust and a real brand over time.

I think expired domains can still work, but the good ones take a lot more digging to find. A clean, relevant history matters more than just the domain metrics.

I still think expired domains have value when the history backlinks relevance and brand signals are clean But for long term SEO a fresh domain can sometimes be the safer and more sustainable choice
