Are article marketing are dead?

Jesus, the only people who say article directories are well and alive are the idiots from Warrior Forum, most notably the male posing as Alexa Smith on WF (yes, this dude steals pictures from porn sites and makes it pass as his avatar LOL).

Forget about article directories, 99% of the people using them are spammers who will delete your links before spinning your article.

So, article directories are not really applicable for the present. Can it be used for 2nd or 3rd tier in link building?

Speaking from anecdotal and personal experience, article marketing is far from dead if you operate in the content strategy/marketing niche.

It's quite easily the best way to embed content like Youtube video's or audio content and ranking *those* properties for key terms, not to mention using article marketing as legitimate volume traffic sources for conversion.

Content has, is, and always will be the cornerstone of any SEO strategy.

However, if you think are articles are are a waste of time, perhaps you need to rethink are strategies.

Great post about the topic here. The last article marketing i did was on AC and was happy with the end results. But after the change or whatever they did In tos, I lost my sight on this end of marketing. I want to get back into this with hub or 2.0 sites. Anyhow this has spun my brainstorm into a tornado! Thanks

Everything is dead, the only thing that is alive at the moment is threads by people asking if this that and the other is dead. Dead is the new alive, get on the dead threads if you want to make serious coin.

Dont bump or you may be bumped. Read the rules!

Bumping is prohibited in this forum? .. for real? .. idk tht .. will be reading the rules again .

To mod: sorry if i did violate any rules here.

To all who replied: Thanks for discussing this topic all along, some of your opinion might differ/conflict with each other. Some say the article marketing is dead while some say it is not. For me, i will start doing article marketing for my 2nd and 3rd tier link building. Thanks again for all the suggestions and opinions you guy provided here. BHW rocks!

Cheers

Article marketing not dead its now rocking now. Used web2.0

Article marketing is still effective for those who are veteran in producing advanced spun content. For getting the best results with effective spun articles, you can only submit to HIGH Authority & PR article directories sites. Plus, stay away from low quality sites

Article Marketing is still alive if you focus on high authority and rp article sites..

Article marketing in the sense of syndicating the content is always going to be great. However, you need to create really good content for great sites to pick it up. There are a hundred articles that are all 400 words talking about dieting right? If you wrote a truly exceptional article that is very long in length, it will have a much easier time being syndicated. However, this will all take time and resources.

I would not personally spin the articles and send them to 400 directories like in the past. I truly believe in the whole "good content" concept.

It's not dead. Just find a good way to use it. Everything is useful as long as it's there and you know how to use it.

Disagree, articles are not dead. Write well and try to include something that is worth reading.
Either it is a website, blog or a social platform, make it unique, include qualitative content and reliable information. That's the new secret. Good luck

Writing a unique informative article and submit it for guest Post or some other useful resources is still works well...

if you want learn article marketing, i recommended you search on WF username (1) Alexa Smith and (2) myob. They are gurus of article marketing (at least thats what i feel).

you can google one of Alexa's post with this query (i cant give any links yet)
[article marketing in 2013] site: WF
be sure to replace WF with its abbreviation, and make it exact search (including the bracket symbol)
click the 1st link, her post is on #2

your're taking the piss right?

Alexa Smith's real name is Tim Nagley, a known serial ewhorer who has been kicked off numerous forums for impersonating seemingly knowledgeable personas. This guy has posts up to 15 long winded posts a day, EVERY DAY but yet still claims to be a full time IMer? as well as a full time forex day trader? Everytime someone asks for proof on his earnings, site traffic stats or anything else to substantiate his claims of being this successful marketer, they are often shut down and sometimes banned.

Here's a link that exposes everything you need to know about ALEXA SMITH

http://alexa-smith-warrior-forum-scam.typepad.com/blog/alexa-smith/

and if even after this, you still feel SHE'S still a guru, then, well........good luck, cos I sure wouldn't want to be taking advice off someone that has no real world experience, but just regurgitates what he reads online.

article writing still brings some income i am sure...you just need to find the right company
