I'm looking into this as my local hustle, since it's legal here and I already have contacts in the industry.

The idea is simple, buy product, re-package it with my brand, sell to dispensaries and delivery services.

Has anyone done this before?

This sounds like a banging idea.

Is it also legal to be sold online? If so; I suggest you start some social media campaign with a local rapper or several.

They can build your brand up, making it hip and something people would pay a premium for. Seen it done here in Sweden, but with rolling papers. Their campaign was more than successful!

If it's legal then u can do it also u can create an instagram page and promote your business there. I see a lot of people selling it on ig

That sounds interesting, but how high is your margin? Cus with private labelling all you need to do is pick a good product, create a cool brand with a cool name and a cool logo, and manipulate people through copywriting and advertising into thinking your product is worth x2 x3 x5 the price of your competitors's stuff. But can you do that with weed?
The idea itself sounds good but you need to do some maths to figure out if it's profitable or not, cus like, if you have a 1% margin that's fine if you can put a couple billion on the table, not if you only have like 50k, there are so many better ways of investing 50k, but creating a weed brand sounds very interesting.

You could maybe base your brand on the quality selection thing, kinda making it clear you don't grow the weed yourself, being transparent is great for advertising. Like, your slogan could be something like "i select the very best weed from the best growers for you", which is fair enough and also makes people feel safe when buying it.

It's like when you see those "approved" stamps on products, but instead of giving the stamp to owners and let them sell their product you select their product and turn your brand into the "approved" thing.

Yeah that's one way, I can't wait until it's legal to ship and run ads lol.. I think it's already like this in Canada.

That is a huge business model here on the West Coast, USA

Tons of popup style shops and delivery services do just that. Buy some decent flower from the main shops for cheap.

Repackage and sell.

Wonderful idea, go for it. All about how you market it people love buying grass from a container that is shiny and pretty. I like my stuff in old school plastic baggies.

It's goes kinda like this, in my case, I want to specialize in concentrates, so for example, hypothetically one would buy 1 pound (450g) of concentrate for around $2,000, that's less than $5 per gram after being tested too.

Packaging costs around a dollar, distribution, and sell to re-sellers for like $15-20/g depending on the quality of the brand, so they could resell for $40-60/g.

The goal for the low shelf stuff would be to make $10 on every $5 invested.

If one would own a delivery service, one can charge $40-60 per gram, which is gonna be around $40-50 profit on every gram sold.

A popular deal where I live is 4 grams for $100, any dispensary will do that for you.

I know for sure the product they sell costs no more than $10 with the packaging and everything combined.

Question might be, how much can we sell, and how much are we gonna get taxed, and unforeseen legal costs might make it kinda shitty to get into.

But for round numbers sake, in my hypothetical, there's around 1,500 dispensaries and delivery services in my region, if I were to sell 100 units of my 1 gram packs, i'd be looking to make around $1,000 profit per dispensary, per refill.

Now, few dispensaries here, few delivery services there, and from there, start churning and burning with new brands and basically the same product.

Rinse and repeat.

Yeah that's where I am and that's what I'd love to get into.
