Any recommended note taking apps?

Hi, currently I use Evernote and I just ran out of the free plan. I upload tons and tons of images from online as my notes along with my written notes so ran out of the free plan and I need to upgrade and I was looking into One Note which is totally free no matter how many files you upload.

But before making the decision, just wanted to ask which note-taking app do you guys use and would recommend?

Also heard Evernote employees can access our notes from their end? So I asked in their forum and they say they can't and won't. Weird.

I use keep which is great and integrate with google drive, also there is workflowy which is really cool but costs $5 monthly.

Is there a monthly limit in Keep? And what about One Note?
 
Keep is totally free as far as I'm using it. I think there is a limit at 25GB, as for One Note I've never used it before.

Save something critical related to their app in one of the notes and you will get to know.
 
Hands down OneNote. It's free for the App version through the Microsoft store, already loaded on Win 10.

Syncing on all devices is amazing for that 1AM idea

There are some good AddIns, like calculators, macros, Zapier, iFTTT and the most important is an easy web clipper.

Mind manager is good, got a copy. Also, for mind mapping Plectica is free for a dozen maps.
 
If all apple: notability, nothing beats it.

Windows/Android/apple(mixture of devices like me): OneNote.
 
We have been using Trello for about a year now. It's a bit more than just notes - kind of ToDo management for alone or teams.

It's amazing especially for teams
