This isn't usually an issue for me but it certainly is in this case. Some ideas on how to use the many tools at my disposal to develop a full and complete marketing plan would be greatly appreciated. I KNOW for a fact that I am not the only person who struggles with this kind of thing. I do fairly well with these tools but I know that my lack of a full cohesive plan is what's really holding me back.

Tools at my disposal

  1. My own collocated server running using Solus VM www.solusvm.com . This allows me to create a number of dedicated virtual machines . . . all Linux in this case.
  2. Two more dedicated servers (here in my office) running Proxmox VE http://www.proxmox.com/products/proxmox-ve this allows me to run a numbed of KVM based virtual machines, both Linux and Windows.
  3. Spinner Chief for article spinning
  4. Bookmarking Demon (windows based bookmarking) Tons of accounts
  5. Social Bookmarks Demon (Linux Server based bookmarking) Tons of accounts
  6. Market Samurai (full)
  7. 1 fully loaded Pixel Pipe http://pixelpipe.com/ account
  8. Link Farm Evolution http://linkfarmevolution.com/
  9. Getting ready to get scrapebox http://www.scrapebox.com/
  10. Rank builder Pro http://rankbuilder.com/launchindex4.php (not sure if I should keep this or not. It's a monthly bill and seems redundant.)
  11. SEO Fast Indexer http://www.trafficmystic.com/seoldindexer/
  12. Tube Detonator http://tubedetonator.com/
  13. Ability and willingness to outsource what needs to be
  14. Plenty of products to sell, crap loads of PLR, MRR and my own
  15. Existing money sites
  16. Excepted into at least 10 CPA Networks
  17. Hostgator Silver hosting
  18. Ability to create websites, opt in pages, membership sites etc
  19. Ability to get just about any other tools needed, but I've got to believe I have

So as I stated, I'm doing ?ok? right now, I make a living plus. But I don't believe, heck I know, that I am not as organized as I should be or making the kind of money I should be. I am not afraid of BH but I am looking for long term money . . . not see it today and loose it tomorrow type money.

So the question is: If you had everything at your disposal that I do, how would you put it to use to make you major $$. And please don't just throw out one liners, a detailed plan is what I am looking for. Any help is greatly appreciated and I am sure that a number of other people would greatly benefit also.

Thanks
G

^^ mate sorry I know what you struggling with but I don't think anyone going to help you like that. That is pretty much full on virtual spoon feeding. For my money and in your position I would concentrate on ONE thing from your favoured CPA network and make it work. Get that first check in. Then scale. a dollar is a dollar if it makes a dollar it can make a thousand. Simples :)

What you need is a good, proven workflow. The problem with asking someone else for one (aside from finding someone willing to share), is there is no one with the same ability, skillset and tool set that you have.

If you're already successful at this, then make a roadmap of what your successful projects have looked like. Then make that into a workflow that can be broken down into steps, and get it rolling like an assembly line. Do the stuff you have to (or want to) do, and outsource the rest.

Something like:

KW Research - pick 10 new topics per wk/month/whatever (YOU)
Pick/Buy Domains - (YOU)
Set up domains at hosting and install structure such as cms or template. (Outsource)
Order articles for each site, place them on the site. (OS)
Start initial backlinking for site indexing. (option)
Place suitable monetization onto site. (YOU)

Etc. etc. to build sites, backlinks and normal marketing efforts according to plan. Add in tracking and monetization tweaks, and other additional work as necessary. Continue to grow successful sites as you build new ones.

A plan for someone who focuses on social would be totally different. You have to make one that works for you and then refine it yourself.

Thats alot of help Crixus :D ima eat my words :P But he right, no two ppl have the same skillsets. Plan, prep, deligate, do! :D

A see a lot of tools but no vision plan regarding what you want to market. I'm not sure what you want to sell or know what you feel comfortable with selling. The product determines the audience and that determines what type of traffic you need to deliver. You have to work backwards from the product otherwise all you are saying is I want to make a lot of money with these tools! If that's the case maybe you should consider consulting services rather than selling products.

Thanks. Yeah, I think the primary issue is that I have just too damn much and an doing too much. I need to scale down to what's working and focus on that. Even with that said though . . . I keep thinking that I am missing something, heh.

I have the problem of focus as well, there are so many different ways to make money out there. I understand almost all of them, am interested in most of them, and I know I could make them work.

However, we have to make a plan and stick to it. Often easier said than done.

Thanks. Primarily where I want to be and where I feel like I am best suited is in creating products and selling those products. I have the product creation process down well and am able to create pages that convert etc. Where I am not excelling is in finding and driving organic based traffic. So thanks, that's helping me narrow down my real issues.

1. Product ideas not an issue
2. Market research not an issue
3. Keyword research not an issue
4. Product creation not an issue
5. Product page creation not an issue.

6. Bringing the right kind of traffic is an issue

Yep, at the end of the day I think this is one of my real issues. I have been a product researcher and software architect in my past lives and continue to be an entrepreneur . . . all related to creativity. Never have been a very focused individual to be honest. That's why I'm to the point of having to but this crap on paper and just follow the numbers I believe.

Driving targeted traffic is probably the hardest part in any internet marketing persons duties. I find it easier to start small, and then work on the whole projects themselves when it comes to SEO tactics. Can you give us a 1 of your websites so I can take a look and see what your doing in terms of your coding. It will better help me understand your tactic when it comes to organic search.

I don't really want to get into my own links, for a number of reasons. I know what needs to be done for on page SEO, no issues there. The real issue for me is a plan for the off page SEO. Basically everything but paid traffic. Backlinking, bookmarking, article marketing, setting up keyword specific blogs, dropping article on those and how to tie all of that together.

Thanks, this ended up being another great post that is helping me nail down my real issues.

I guess what I am struggling with more than anything is how to effectively tie the above together (Backlinking, bookmarking, article marketing, setting up keyword specific blogs, dropping article on those etc).

Like JGUT12 said driving targeted traffic is the toughest obstacle. Your product determines the market segment and from their you drive your keyword analysis. Decide how you want to drive that traffic if its by organic growth or spam techniques. That is determined if you are slash and burn or building a real business.

I'll do keyword analysis and then run a cheap Adwords campaign to determine if I'mon the right track. Then I build my SEO campagin around the targetted keywords and fiddle with the landing page to improve conversions. The right way is build several pages and see how they convert.

See, I think that's another part that I am missing. I will do ad campaigns using bidvertiser and a couple of others like that, but just haven't had any real success, I think probably because their traffic is so low. I have stayed away from adsense because of all the BS, but I should probably just use it for tuning campaigns.

Thanks,
G

Also, just as a gauge, what would you consider to be a cheap campaign?
