I decided to journal my autoblog journey as a newbie since I enjoy reading other journals on this site. They inspire me
Of course most start and never finish. Lets hope thats not me as well and I can keep my A.D.D. at bay
The Plan?
The plan is too have 150 or so blogs in various niches and main topics within a years time. I'm realistic. If I create on average 3 a week then i will hit my goal by the end of 2010 (Holy shit Im old). Also make at LEAST $1 per day per site. I figure this plan should bring in gross of 5k monthly.
Lets Start
I bought LFE in early November to create my backlinks some websites I started but I put those sites aside when I discovered the dark side of autoblogging.
I will still utilize this tool now to create a linkwheel or two for each of my autoblogs. At the end of November 2009, I installed wordpress on the same domain I purchased LFE to run on. It was just sitting there so why not test this blogging out. Up until that point, I have never blogged utilized any CMS websites. Im an old fashioned html, css, php programmer. But this WordPress shit is sweet
So I created the Blog using Autoblogged and using some article rss feeds. The site looked like shit because they were summary post only and no full articles. Fast forward to early December when I finally forced myself to create a Yahoo Pipe to rip the full article from the rss feed urls. Now this blog has full articles with a link to the original source. I am not spinning ANY posts. I want people to think its a real site so they come back.
Ok the second obstacle is getting some freakin people there. By this point Google has been up my fricken ass and has 2/3 of my site indexed which is about 230 posts on google but no traffic. Most of which is garbage 1 liner posts which I only recently corrected. I had been reading about Onlywire so I signed up 3 accounts 3 days ago. I also installed the Onlywire Multi Account plugin for WordPress. 2 days ago I signed up for all 30 something web 2.0 sites on Onlywire. Immediate I was getting traffic, it spiked like 100 visitors just from social bookmarking traffic. Still no adsense though. As of today Google has indexed my whole site which is about 416 out of 441 pages on my site
So I decided to try my second autoblog since I felt I figured out all the problems. I had another domain lying around and in the same niche as the first autoblog. I swiped a nice theme off here and set it up on the same server as the first. I decided to add WPRobot to the mix and damn Im glad I did. I also decided to added a dedicated plugin for twitter only(just extra exposure). I setup and tweaked the site in roughly 8 hours included filling it with content before going live.
Here are the plugins I use currently
Autoblogged - For RSS feeds only
WPRobot - For Videos, Amazon, Articles, & Yahoo Answers
Platinum SEO Pack
Google XML Sitemaps
Socialble
Wassup - for basic tracking
WP to Twitter - For Traffic
Onlywire Multi Submitter - For Traffic
And a few others that are specific to my design
What's Next
I need to setup 5 more onlywire accounts for the second blog and 2 more onlywire accounts for the first blog.
Smam the LinkWheel to give it some juice
