Velocity/Virtual buys or vBuys what they call it.

I don't know who among the BHW peeps here still do it or has done it but i just want to know if it still works.

For those who doesn't know how vBuys work, it works something like this:

* You need 2 amazon seller accounts.
* 1 is for FBA (main) and 1 is for FAKE FBM inventory of the ASIN of the target product
* the Seller Central (SC) that has the FAKE FBM inventory will copy the ASIN of the target Product and add FAKE FBM inventory.
* will create $$$ OFF coupon code under FBM SC to be used for vBuys
* Using DUMMY Amazon BUYER Accounts, and TOR Browser, they will search the product by its keyword and purchase the FBM products normally and use the coupon codes.
* since it's FBM, Amazon will not detect if the product was really shipped or not.
* It will be done on a daily basis, like 5-10 sales per day PER keyword for 10 days consecutive.
* the result is the target product ASIN will be high-ranking on those top main keywords as it was searched and bought organically.

So, back to my question, does this still work?

No. amazon is focused on preventing this

no, amazon is focused on preventing this and has figured out how to spot it

I was wondering if you've been able to find more info and expand upon what you know about vbuys? I've been digging into the same topic and have a list of potential ways to improve upon the strategy. PM me and we can chat.
