If I created an Amazon affiliates account, could I somehow make double by sending traffic to my own products that I am PL selling on Amazon?

I heard of a seller that has an affiliates account and send traffic to his listings from FB/IG ads and can see how his ads coversion rate through his Amazon affiliates account or something... not exactly sure how but anyone heard about this? Obviously we can't put pixel on Amazon so it's hard to figure out how many sales I am getting from my ads outside of FB....

In a few weeks you will hear, how the kid got banned from Amazon before the payday.

I’m 99% sure there’s no problem with that (sending traffic to your own PL products via your Amazon Assosciates links). One of the main reasons for that being that the traffic sent might buy more than your product (and you get a commision for all).

Secondly it’s not a matter of doubling the earnings. Profit margin on the PL products should be much higher than the ~3% from the affiliate commision (as in 30%+ profit margin).

Lastly, this is one of the methods you can track properly your conversions when sending external traffic.

He's an 8 figure Amazon seller so not likely.

That's EXACTLY what I figured and heard from this other seller, he was saying the exact same thing. Just wanted to make sure and verify this before I did it, incase of Amazon pulling their usual bs and freezing my listings or account for going against TOS.

Yes, the extra 3% or whatever it turns out to be is just a bonus... but it's the traffic converting from my ads outside of AMZ and the main thing being able to track those conversions like you mentioned is hugeee.

Are there any other methods besides Amazon Affiliates, for tracking AMZ listing conversions from traffic outside of Amazon that you know of?

Thanks for the response btw!

You could also generate batches of coupons with slightly different discounts, a batch for 51% discount and use that on FB for example, another for 52% discount and use it on IG etc.

why not just make a website promote it correctly .

why even let amazon get commision ln the first place .

if it your product .

Cool, thanks for the ideas much appreciated!

Amazon prioritizes traffic from outside Amazon to listings, so if you are sending traffic to your listing from outside AMZ, plus already ranking page 1 for numerous key words, you can make a lot of money as long as you are selling a hot product/niche.

I sell products on both Shopify and Amazon, sometimes its worth it more to send traffic to the listing on Amazon to increase listing rank, because in the long run I will get much more traffic to that product listing on Amazon than outside of Amazon because of their millions of shoppers.

could you give some tips for a beginner in amazon affiliate?
I don't know much about Amazon Affiliates tbh, I sell on Amazon as a PL seller.

I haven't created an Amazon Affiliate account yet myself, I started this thread to see if I could create an Amazon Affiliate account and send traffic to my own PL listings on Amazon and get paid by Amazon without going against their TOS.

You should ask someone else on here that has more knowledge on Amazon Affiliates, sorry!

I want to try Amazon FBA and this thread answered a couple questions l had. Thanks.
Good luck bro, no problem. If you have any questions you can always PM me and I can help you as best as possible, I've been selling PL on AMZ for over 3 years now and Amazon has changed a lot over that course, things are much harder than they used to be but there is still opportunity to make lots of money if you do things right and work hard.

I can confirm that Amazon are able to track if you use your own affiliate links to buy purchases. Tried it a few years back and got a little slap on the wrist email ;)

Yea I am aware of that, but my question was if I am allowed to get my affiliate fee from Amazon for sending traffic to MY OWN Amazon listing(s). What I really want to use the Amazon Affiliates account for is to see how my traffic is converting on Amazon from my ads outside of it using the affiliate links.

Yes, you can. It makes no sense - but it's allowed.
