So I've got a few questions about how to SEO an Amazon Affiliate Website, I don't want spoon feed I just want to know how to rank a little better.

Due to the new updates in the Yoast SEO I am quiet unsure of what to do , I've got quiet big sentences as I write the content all by myself and its very unique. The yoast SEO is telling me not to write sentences longer than 20 words but I don't know why is that not good ?

Also if I post my amazon aff website link on reddit, using the same post ( unspinned ) get me deindexed on google ?

One more question . Will adding links from my site to other relevant websites. Such as when its a hard word that people might not know about just adding a link on it with the description off it improve my SEO ?

Yoast Seo: Am yet to understand that part.
Reddit: I would rather post first paragraph on reddit and link to my website or create a new whole article and post it. I would not knowingly plagiarize my own content.
Adding Links: You can link to other websites, it is naturally done all the time. The internet is built on LINKS.

First of all, longer sentences may impact Google's algorithm in a weird way.

You have to understand that SEO consultants and authorities like Yoast are not going to endanger their reputation by giving out bunk advice.

The longer the sentence, the more trouble you may have at your hand as far as ranking goes-everything else being equal.

Also, when it comes to posting on Reddit using the exact same content on your website, you're going to run into duplicate content issues.

Now, duplicate content in of itself is not going to get you de-indexed from Google.

It can, however, get you penalized.

I hope you can see the big difference between the two.

Yoast's suggestions are just that. Suggestions. I have "too many long sentences" in my articles also, but you know what? I don't care. It flows nicely, and according to my proof readers, reads smoothly.

Breaking up naturally flowing sentences into shorter ones for the sake of SEO is a mistake if you ask me. Write your articles for your readers, not for google.

Personally, outside of generally accepted best practices for SEO I see Yoast warnings as mere suggestions, not rules to be followed.
