Am I Getting Maximum Revenue From ExoClick?

Hello Black Hatters!

I had started a blog porn focusing on celebrity porn and hot babes.

I monetized the site with ExoClick, I have an ad in the header and one in the beginning of every post plus a pop-under.

I get an average of 1000 unique visitors per day and 2000 page views per day.

60% of my traffic is from America and 20% is from United Kingdom, Canada and some other European countries.

I am receiving an average of 60 000 page views per month.

I am earning between $1 - $1.5 everyday. Monthly revenue is between $30 - $45.

Is the earnings I am receiving from ExoClick justifiable for the amount of traffic I am getting?

I know adult doesn't pay well but I think what I am getting is too low.

The amount of money you make from putting up ads on your site depends on:

a) if the ads are attractive to your visitors and,
b) the amount advertisers are willing to pay.

Being an advertiser myself, I see that the majority are doing it badly. This doesn't help publishers like yourself but there's nothing you can do about that. Advertisers generally do a poor job of targeting the audience they want and need. If they do, the ads are typically not inspiring so they get few clicks which means you get few clicks as well.

I think your question is all wrong and pretty much the same other publishers ask. I know the reason for the blog is likely to make money in most cases. It should be doing it because you have an interest in the subject, not because there are many others also interested and it seems like an "easy" way to make money. If your end goal is to make a living this way, then you simply need to get more traffic. In that case, it's a matter if that amount you get justifies the time you put in. If you do it for the fun of it, then the $40 or so per month is icing on the cake that you can use for a few extra little things you want, such as paying your phone bill. If you do to make a living, nothing wrong with that but you'll need much more traffic.

Your numbers so far show $0.50 per month per 1000 views. Doesn't mean that scaling up it will remain that way but something to go on. If your goal is making $1000 per month, you need 2 million views. This doesn't take into account anything else such as advertisers or where your traffic comes from.

I wish I made that much!

Your traffic quantity is low considering that you have a adult site.My site is in news niche and i get more than 150 k visitors monthly.It is much easier to get traffic for adult sites.

I get your point, more traffic and attractive ads increases CTR and overall revenue, but $1000 for 2 million views is what I call digital slavery.

I think it would be best if I focus on my non-adult websites and make them grow.

I started the porn blog as a side passion, and my non-adult sites which I am not passionate about at all, are making much more money, even thou they get much less traffic.

I though at least the porn blog should be making much more...even getting 2 million page views and getting only $1000 would be quite depressing.

Instead on relying on exoclicks, try this
1. Build a dropshipping store for adult related products (Sex toys and such). You can look up aliexpress/alibaba for some products.
2. Get attractive banners designed for your store and switch the banners from exoclick to yours. With most adult products you can make a profit of $10 per sale.

I never said it would be easy, i said the OP should try it since its still adult traffic and most likely the advertisers are advertising the same/similar things. Difference is now the OP will be using the clicks to sell his/her own products. Also, you can play around with the products to see the best converting ones.

I dont know much about sell health as ive never used it. And yes, the future is ecommerce. You can t be an affiliate for too long and selling banner space to other people (Advertisers) is employee mentality. You already have traffic and you can source and dropship the products. Why get paid $0.2 per click while that click could earn you $10-$20? The best thing about this forum is you can buy almost everthing you need from the marketplace. In this case you can hire someone design the store, add products then hire someone for the banners.

Where did you register your blog? Gmail or somewhere else?

Exoclick in my experience has one of the worst CPMs I have ever seen.
