All in one SEO plugin for wordpress

Hi I have recently created a wordpress blog, iv installed the all in one seo plugin and have re-written the meta description for my pages. The problem is the meta description iv written is not showing up, instead it's just the first few words on the page. I'd love it if someone could help me with this? Thanks in advance

Can you PM the site ,so i can view the source code? Have you tried to reinstall the plugin ? Sometimes that works !
 
All-in-SEO is tricky and complicated. Yoast is easier, there is also other paid solutions that can help you. I don't like YOAST.
 
Yoast is the easiest for people just getting into it. If you take your time and read about the plugin, it will become that more impressive.
I suggest it to anyone that asks
 
Thanks for you responses. Iv not re-installed it, I spent hours filling in all of the descriptions, keywords etc, will I loose that information if I re-install it or install yoast? Iv also another problem, my follower count for instagram is showing 0 which is wrong and I can't seem to change this. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
 
Yes you will need to add again title,meta description for yoast but its very easy and simple.
 
How long did you wait, before you checked your results in Google? Your onsite changes won't reflect immediately. Wait a few days/weeks.
 
sorry op, i have question for all yoast user.. in AIOSEO there are custom field for meta title, meta description and meta tag (_aioseop_title, _aioseop_description, _aioseop_keywords). how about yoast? is there any custom field for thos 3 meta's, if it have please tell us... this custom field is good for automatic stuff...
 
If you view the source does the description you entered appear in the tag?

If your on about the Google results your site may need to be crawled and cached to show the changes you made.
 
Try to use another another SEO plugin. It would easy to help, if we see your site. :/
 
Delete the plugin , and reinstall it , if does not work use platinum seo pack.
 
As TheUnborn said, Yoasts plugin is really the best. It's enough just to see the rating of this plugin on wordpress.org, and ratings of others, so you'll see it deserves it's popularity.
 
Don't bother with it.. It doesn't help.. Google will see u installed it and say this guy is trying to seo his site....just don't bother.. I have used it and it just tells google u r trying to get over on them.. just make pages and let them index them as they see fit until someone comes up with a replacement for google.. Like I will. and return the internet to what is was supposed to be..
