I just checked my site and was shocked to see my (co.cc site) not appearing on google search result. I made this query site:mysite.co.cc, site:[example.co.cc] [example.co.cc] all of this query produced no result.

Then checked the go0gle webmaster forum and learned that all co.cc site had been deindexed by go0gle.

Do you think It's Fair? I mean, "ALL SITE WITH CO.CC DOMAIN" have been deindexed.

Seriously??? No matter how old or what quality of your site is...

Damn it...

Oh dear... I guess Google has banned .co.cc domains.

Try this query:
site:.co.cc

NONE!

I guess the owners of .co.cc have their asses literally bleed. This is pure colossal damage to them.

Just buy domains, you can find cheap one's with a little searching. Good Luck and sorry to hear that..

Fair? Its like asking the lot owner who pulled out parasitic plants in his garden if its fair to do that. He owns the lot, Gaygle owns the lot and so it has all the right to pull out any sites it thinks is grass.

This is why I never use such domains. Not to mention that most sites from co.cc are spam/scam/drug/site sites.

Better buy your own domain or use free ones from different hosting companies that offer free hosting via subdomain. I think this is much safer and better if you are on a budget.

If your 2nd statement applies, then .info domain might be the next to be banned. To be honest if it happens I wouldn't be surprised.
Still, I doubt it will happen since "the .co.cc domain is not an official hierarchy; it is merely a standard domain like any other" while .info and .tk are official hierachy.

I don't understand the logic behind deindexing, may be someone should file a lawsuit against Google. They can make or break anyone. I have never used co.cc or any other free domain names, but I have seen people build very good sites on co.cc.

May be this has something to do with the multi billion dollar sale of godaddy, the price of godaddy will be higher now.

Lol! OMG really.. damn Google.. damn.. I just checked mine too.

but if you search "co.cc" the main site still appears and indexed so, g00gle just deindexed those "subdomains"

Some time back Facebook banned co.cc. No one can post links with co.cc in facebook and one cannot use facebook tools in a website with a co.cc domain. I just happened to talk to an expert and the reason cited is uncontrolled autoblogs. So .info domain owners be careful with your autoblogs.. .info might be targeted, it will not be banned, but low quality sites might be taken down.

That's fucking nuts... But what do you expect when you give domains away for free? Of course the spammers are going to move in, and it creates another ghetto, just like .info.

well, G00gle should also ban lots of web2 properties likes ""blogspot"", tumblr, squidoo etc etc. since this site are also being used by spammers.

i don't think .info's will be deindexed too. but who knows?

just buy your own domain and then create a lot of subdomains for spamming :)

Yet one more reason to not base your IM strategy on search engine rankings. No one but Google knows for sure what it will do next, or to whom, in its quest to exclude whole categories of sites from its natural, "organic search results." HOW ORGANIC CAN IT BE IF IT SEEKS TO EXCLUDE SO MUCH?

That really sucks .. but my co.cc sites still show high PR - there is no traffic from Google however

I'm sure I'm letting my slip show, but can someone show a little generosity and explain what a "CO.CC" is?

I am aware G00glie is using the excuse of "spamming" to censure the net, but isn't that why the "G-Poobahs" spend so much time in D.C.? To find excuses to put the boot on the neck of those net user's who aren't on the approved list of the Ministry of Truth? Just my thought here, but my original question stands and awaits a grain of attention.

That makes .cz.cc the only free tld available indexed by google...

Joes Garage not sure if I understand what your asking but a co.cc is website domain extension just like .com or .net.

They were free to register so you didn't have to pay a fee like with namecheap or godaddy.

I built a co.cc domain a few months ago to have a little play with a script off here.

Sucks that they are suddenly deindex guess I need to stop being cheap and fork out my dough.

You can simply register a free domain there.

Try going to their site co.cc
