Did anyone else experience a mass Instagram account ban on August 19th, 2016 (morning US time)?

I had 39 established Instagram accounts that were all banned at the exact same time on August 19th (approx. 9 am US eastern time). Each account had 1000+ organic followers and the same safe liking settings (for months) were still in place. And no more than 4-5 accounts per private proxy.

Just trying to connect with people that experienced an unusual spike in banning on August 19th, 2016.

Maybe your proxys were not so private as you expected.

were you doing cpi/cpa with the accounts?

No. But I've had short URLs in the bios (tiny dot cc). They've never caused an issue before. I've been running many of these accounts since early last year with those links.

i think it was your links ......

If so, odd Instagram would wait so long to take action. They do a check when you first insert a link. I've had a few rejected at those times. It's now over a year later for many of the accounts and all of a sudden to find it a problem (after originally having those links accepted) and just ban all of them seems a bit extreme.

Might be from having 4-5 accounts per proxy. Alot of people on here say 3 max is safe

Something must have gone wrong with all of your accounts at once. I suspect the proxies. Were all of them from a same provider?

Maybe 4-5 accs per proxy is a overkill, plus each account having shortened url seems fishy. So yeah grow them with 2-3 per proxy and without urls until they are established.

Most proxies were from the same provider. There were a few from another provider. All got banned.

OP any further update? More accounts got ban?

It was all 39 of my accounts that got banned. Since yesterday, I have put up 10 more accounts and on a new set of proxies (two per proxy). All these accounts I'm using I bought from a bulk provider about three years ago (the ones that were banned and these "new" ones).

Let's say you created a new IG account on August 20th. How long would you wait to put up a bio link?

Most of the dedicated proxies were once used by someone else and might be used for instagram

Your best bet is to make your own proxy server and use dedicated ips . It will be a bit costly but in longer run profitable if you make several social media accounts from that proxy .

Sounds like the ideal approach. I'll be searching for info on that...

Agreed, costs me a fraction of what providers over here would charge for their supposedly private proxies. Buy low end VPS's from multiple providers at multiple locations (read different subnets) and install squid3.

You have to buy a Linux vps with additional 10 or 20 ips , then install some proxy server script like squid

Install ubuntu and squid and turn ips into proxies and then use those proxies

Its sound like a few minutes work but its hell alot of work to do but as i said in long run its profitable

You need to hire a linux guy who can handle that . If you want i have a linux expert who can do everything for you
