I agree. Previously, people used to build links very quickly and in large quantities. But now, search engines are smarter; they recognize patterns, timing, and even "unnatural" links. If link growth is slow and steady, it looks more natural and trustworthy. Loud, flashy methods might be effective in the short term, but long-term stability is what sustains rankings.

Yeah I kind of noticed something similar while working on a few projects.

Before, people used to focus a lot on just pushing a lot of links quickly. But lately it feels like when links appear more naturally over time, the rankings tend to stick better.


On one site I worked on, we didn’t build many links, just added a few relevant ones gradually, and it seemed more stable compared to when links were added too aggressively.

So yeah, I also feel like the pattern and timing matter a lot more now than just the number of links. It’s interesting to see how things keep changing.

Picking good quality backinks are still very essential.

Totally agree AI is pushing SEO toward quality and natural patterns, not just link volume.
The quiet, consistent strategies always build the strongest long-term authority.
