Affiliate Links on Instagram?

I'm currently growing this Instagram page of a certain niche.

I was thinking, what if I posted an Amazon affiliate/referral link in the description of the photos I upload? Not in a spammy way. First line is the product name, 2nd line is a short description, 3rd line would be the "buy link".

Does this have any negative side effects? I'm skeptical because I don't think I've ever seen an Instagram page do this.

I think it's hard to get sales because you have to provide a clickable link, people now are lazy to copy and paste the link to the browser
Even if you put your link in profile, people will barely click them
But i don't know if you promote a high quality product with eye catching image

This is from my experience with instagram before
i create couple of instagram accounts and promote product from aliexpress, put my store link in bio, scheduled hundred of images, put title, description, hashtag and put word : visit link in bio to buy and i got 2 click
first is myself and second is instagram crawler
i don't know if i do it wrong way because i only post product image

Links in the description aren't clickable. Only the link in the bio. Maybe look at using something like LinkTree for links to multiple offers. Make the caption of the photo the same as the title of the affiliate link.
