Yes, I've searched read some recent threads about this, but none have specific question like mine or an answer that is conclusive for my situation.
I started a website a year ago. I'm not going to mention or link to it, but it's a business that has to operate outside the law due to the hypocritical laws set in most countries. It does not harm, hurt or scam anyone. Ethically, it's also fine. We aren't the only site, and head competition is raking multi-millions yearly.
Here's the sitch; our site is about to approach planned monetization for our traffic target - but problem is we have not figured out to handle payments(quite important I guess). Of course Bitcoin was 1st on our mind, but the response from the customers from other sites have greatly criticized it and don't want to deal with it. Not all, but the majority. The head competition has accepted bitcoin AND credit cards until someone ratted them out, which forced them to shutdown credit card processing. As credit card processing is basically not possible for these transactions as it would lead straight to us. And because of the legalities, credit card companies don't support processing it either.
Reading up on Monero - it seems as "complicated" as Bitcoin. Meaning the average person is like whaat?. And the fees always make it seem like the customer is paying for it no matter if we reimburse or credit back for it in the end. They would be okay buying bitcoin, and sending it to my monero account etc, but buying bitcoin to them is just as "complicated".
The only 2 ways I can see about doing this is:
a. Accept Prepaid Credit cards, use them ourselves to buy whichever crypto and go trade after. This requires a lot of manpower and fees.
b. Make a video to educate our customers on how to setup a wallet, buy crypto and send it.
Let's face it, people are lazy, and don't want to learn anything they don't feel they need to. They'd rather go out and buy a prepaid card and be done with it.
We're looking for an easy way for customers to pay, and a way for us to anonymously receive it.
It seems like an almost impossible task.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
