Guise....guise...Although OP fucked up this can be spent to get a social media page a huge following if done right. You can even advertise products on that site ya know. Still wish there was a workaround to monetize this immediately
 
Is it possible to do. When someone tries to connect to your network, he does not get the connection, but the browser pops up straight away with adsense and the cpa offers and he uses his own data. That would sort out the IP problem now would it?

Where I live a lot of the bars use social media lockers for their WIFI. Now considering that I live in a all year round tourist hotspot, and some of the bars I go in are fair big and busy 12pm / 3am and they are getting a constant flow of new people. For their Facebook pages to only have a few k people, tells me this ain't even that good for Facebook pages.

And going off this fact, I'd say that £300 is merely just schoolboy fantasy.
 
Here is a twist that is more fantasy but maybe could work: @mickyfu

Book a cheap flight on an airline that offers wifi. Purchase their Wi-Fi and distribute it for free. I'm sure bored people will do almost anything to use my Free Wi-Fi at 35,000 ft . Won't have to worry about 3G/4G and most people that fly won't purchase Wi-Fi from my experience. The only problem here is finding cheap flights that will bring you a good or if any ROI, but you can eventually even maximize your profit by sticking to an Airline and getting elite status, that will you will get Upgrades such as "System Wide Upgrades" from American Airlines that are usually sold for $500-1000 each on eBay. Would be great also to find routes that are operated by big jets, you can find some domestic routes operated in 747s (~500 passengers capacity) and 777s (~350 passengers) in the US.

The main problem here would actually make a profit out of it. You would have to purchase the ticket, purchase in flight Wi-Fi, and hope to not get caught/noticed when dumb passengers ask flight attendants why this "other" Wi-Fi is not working (Even if it works, people are just dumb and from my experience I see always passengers complaining and bugging flight attendants that the official paid Wi-Fi won't work even though it works). The good thing is that they would do anything to get Free Wi-Fi ;)

Quick update for everyone who has been following my posts.

I have given up on using the router I have with DD WRT, it is too old and too difficult to find firmware/hotspot systems that support it, even the Hotspotsystem website describes using DD-WRT as a 'headache'. I almost get there but then come against another roadblock over and over again. I thought I had cracked it when I managed to install 'Tomato' firmware but then couldn't upgrade to the version which had a Captive Portal function.

So in short - Don't go and buy the router that I mentioned (Netgear WNR2000v)!

I have decided to just go with Cloudtrax that I mentioned before, it is a really simple, plug and play system that I have used before for a WiFi network. And there are a number of supported routers which I have used before that I know work. By using the Cloudtrax system I won't have to worry about get the WiFi hotspot up and running and just concentrate on the lading page and getting it correctly configured.


I have purchased a cloudtrax compatible router on eBay (£20/$26) and will wait until I have everything up and running before I post anything more!

That would be perfect if it can be done. Just a little script on the router which kicks the user off the wifi and sends them to a landing page with a content locker saying they have to download an app to use the wifi.
