So I am owner of a large meme channel. It is one of those text to speech reddit meme channels. I am getting about 20 million views per month and have a few hundread thousand subscribers. I had been monetized for about half a year and made very good money ($30k this month). Because I am using a synthetic voice YT decided to demonetize me due to "reused content".

I might be able to remonetize my channel in a month. However I will be going without revenue at least a month and I am looking for alternative ways of making money and these are the 2 things I have been thinking of:

1. Affiliate marketing
Does this work? I have been part of a couple deals and they don't really seem worth it or is there something I am missing?

2. Copyclaiming my own videos.
Basically I would create/buy a song and get it's ownership. Then I would include it in my videos and then copyclaim my own videos so I could get the ad rev that way. Does anyone have experience doing this? What CPMs could I expect? Could I get into trouble by doing this?

Or does anyone have any other ideas that could work or be even better.

Dont know about the song, but if aff marketing is done right, you can make more than adsense!

If YouTube has already deemed the content as re-used, the copyclaim method you describe will not work.

Continue looking into leveraging the channel's viewership with other methods besides Google ad revenue. Whatever method you go with (merch, affiliate marketing, sponsorships, pre-roll ads, donations, etc.) will be dependent on your channel and target audience.

One of my channels receives more than double the traffic you're seeing, but has also been struck with demonetization. I've branched out into pre-rolls and merch which more than made up for the lost income.

Team up with direct advertiser who pay better as adsense )

Any tips for aff marketing or other partnerships? Like where do I start looking or what is a good commission rate?

Demographic research is essential; you have to know what your audience will spend money on. Look around for networks that have suitable offers tailored to your audience. BHW's subforums are a good place to start.

make a meme site and send your audience there apply to multiple ad network to test don't limit your site's potential only to AdSense.

It sounds like he just adds computer-gen'd voices over screenshots of other people's content and doesn't create original content. I would advise OP against creating his own site if he doesn't plan on implementing originality that would make people want to go there instead of YouTube.

But yes, you can be making more money outside of Google's ad program with the right techniques.

I've seen large channels use ecommerce - adverising their site before and after the video. Idk what revenue would look like, but I've seen it often enough to assume there's some money there.

Can you give me more details on how to make these kinds of devideos! I mean I have 4 channels and I don't care if it's desmotizated! I can't win anything from them

Try and grow a facebook & Instagram meme page huge potential for you there keep on posting on your YouTube but try and send your viewers to them. Good luck

Famebit or in your description to sell for sponsorships?

Strike up some deals to have in-video footage. You could have one of the “posts” your tts reads as the ad, would slide right in

if you place multiple ads in the video aka ad breaks then only you get good income from YouTube adsense, else go with affiliate links in video description always and sponsorships in your future videos.

If you looking some alternative beside adsense, theres similar program that offer such ads on video..

But theres percentage between both of you.like mcn network or something..just googled

Since you have money from before.. If you saved some get a developer to code you an online meme creator php site.. and pitch that to your subscribers via original meme videos you will start creating via your website.. Then monetize your site.

If his channel is demonetized, it's not eligible to display advertisements through MCN's.

Those sites don't make much money with affiliate marketing or in video advertising because there is no trust and they are general. A guy who runs a gaming channel can run sponsor ad reads because his viewers like him. A computer voice channel that suddenly has an ad in the middle will do poorly. It will still make money, but you will make less in this case than adsense.

YouTube is slowly killing those channels anyway, so try to cash in as much as you can now.

Many other advertiser like adsense, just googled and some ad never give **it about copyright..;)
