Great journey. I know for a fact that your strategy works. You just need to be consistent in your efforts.
Current updates
Updated the Wordpress theme to make the content easier to read and for better viewing on smaller devices.
Posted 2 more articles, around 880 words each
Created a twitter account, followed 140 users and had 30 follow backs. Sent 3 tweets - 1 with a image and 2 with niche related videos.
No reports of any traffic, will not expect any until I nearer the 70 post mark.
next goal for 22/03/15
My next goals are:
Post 7 more articles with minimum 800 words.
Review 2 items
Follow another 400 twitter accounts and tweet 30 times
i have thought about not sharing any of my content on social media on any platform until I have reached a minimum of 1000 twitter followers and Facebook Page Followers, my reasoning behind this is to allow every post a chance at gaining more retweets and shares, otherwise If I'm sharing them when I have hardly no followers , I won't be getting any sharing or sharing momentum going.

Changes to the current targets for 22/03/15
After reading about the importance of internal links, I am currently creating quality inner posts that will link to the existing pages with a relevant long tail anchor that relates to the keyword that that particular page is aiming to rank for.
An example for this is:
Main Post - This will be about how good red cars are
then i will create more posts around the premise of "why red cars are better for lazy people" then i would link back to the main post with a phrase such as "only red cars are good enough". And so on.
I have checked the rank of the first post I created and it is sitting at 77 in Google. I will create 4 inner site back links to this page and report back if there is any serps movement.
So for the goals they will change to:
Create 2 new keyword targeting posts, and create 24 posts for inner linking (4 to each of my current pages).
Continue with twitter, so follow another 300 users and tweet 30 times.
I will also create one main review for a product, and then look at creating 5-7 other posts for inner site linking to that review, maybe only do the planning for this
