2 domains same website

I have 2 domains connected to a same website.
I just got the domain#2 transferred, because it was previously used for other page.

Now in the webmaster tools I have the domain#1 as a connection to the site.
I like domain#2 to be main because it is the main keyword. and domain#1 is the short version of it.

My question is should I:
1. Add a new site in webmaster tools with the domain#2
or
2. I should somehow change the domain#1 to domain#2 in webmaster tools ( which btw I don't know how)

It is a website about an artist (created 2 weeks ago) and still his fb/twitter and some other pages rank better than his official page. (but maybe because it is only 2 weeks old ? ) If you have any advice on this I would really appreciate it

btw abou the 301 redirect, because the 2 domains point to the same site(content) I should only add a new site on webmaster, verify it and then just go to Change of Address on the old domain.
I don't have to do that 2. Redirect content from your old site using 301 redirects.

You cannot have 2 sites with the same content. One or both might get 'Panda' penalized.

What you want to do is either choose to use one or the other and 301 redirect the one you are not using to the one you do want to use. Or have 2 sites with DIFFERENT content both ranking for the same keywords.

All of these 301 redirect comments on here are correct. Follow their advice and you will avoid penalization. I was going to come in and say the same thing but they beat me to it. So I'm just gonna validate that they are giving you good advice.

BUT, after a while, since you have two domains, why not build another site and try to rank it? Two sites on the first page of Google is better than one, and the lower traffic keyword might have better targeted traffic.

Maybe I put that wrong. I don't have two sites. There is only 1 site. But 2 domains lead to it. (that's why I wrote "same content"). And I can't make two sites, because I told you it is the client's website (an artist's official website) and I made it and I am working on it(editing, putting new content, some seo stuff) for which I get paid for.

I think this's best way.

Can't do that spmazon as I explained above.
It's like this , let's say the artist name is John Doe. I have this 2 domains: jdoe.com & johndoe.com
And I started the site on jdoe.com (that is my primary domain). I got johndoe.com few days after, and my webmaster tools account was started on jdoe.com .S
Now johndoe.com is parked and it leads to the same site as jdoe.com .

I got both on webmaster tools (I think that is bad because they'll work against each other... I should delete one right?
And there are more search for the artist on his full name ex "john doe", but Jdoe.com is my primary domain, and that is why I don't know which one should I delete from the webmaster tools.
