Would anyone be able to answer this.. is it possible to direct link an affiliate offer in adwords -- and if so how. I iframed & DMR'd a domain and would like to send traffic straight there but don't know how.

If that's not an option, what do you think is the best way to get a quality landing page? build it up manually because I keep hearing about this quality score stuff.. but I'm advertising on the content network, so is a quality score really necessary?

quality score has to do with how many times your ad is viewed to how many times its clicked on. Say your ad is viewed 1000 times and clicked 100 times you click thru ratio is 10% and google will love you.

pretty much word you ad well for the keyword you have targeted and you should get a high score.

It not that simple in my opinion. I just put up a website a few days ago - highly optimised for 2 keywords, content, seo, links the whole 9 yards. set up an Adwords campaign and got 4 keywords 10/10 the rest 7 or 8/10. Now 3 days later with a decent CTR all of my keywords have gone to 1/10 score and none of my ad are showing WTF! I think its down to the product suddenly being disliked - (think something you stick to your fridge door hint!) - but I'm still not sure. Got a couple of sles in the 24 hours it was at 10/10 so its a real bummer - ah well back to article marketing for me

I'm sorry but i don't agree, like google say, relativity, your ad should contain the keyword, you website should contain it,domain etc'...

better ctr could and many times does improve your QS , but if your website and ad are not related to your keyword you should not get good QS even if you have good ctr..

    I agree Jelly but..

my domain name contained the exact keyword I was targetting, I had on page SEO done, articles linked , links out from my main page to deep pages and vice versa the content is highly relevant to the keywords.. honest and as i said, my score slipped from 10/10 to 1/10 - i also noticed that today the product I am targetting gets no adwords ads showing - I think googles done a water4gas on it but I cant be certain

This sounds for me like Google has manually reviewed your account resp. your landing page. The automatic drops are mostly from 10 to 7 or from 7 to 5 or something like this. But after 3 days the automatic checks of the AdWords bot should already been done. I think a quality rater pushed the red button....

Maybe you should take a look at the keyword diagnosis tool in your google account. Sometimes it is helpful...

@jellyfish: You're right, but after all in most cases the CTR makes the difference....and CTR makes about 50 % of your QS....so in most cases it's really an problem with that.

As far as search goes, I've gone more to Direct Linking and focusing on those products that get a high quality score

Content depends not on QS but bids and CTR so its easier if you are using landing pages

Google adwords ass-fucked me real good with my CPA campaigns. (I was promoting Resveratrol and gift card shit) I had quality scores of 7's and 8's...then down to 1, thus ending my campaigns. I guess Google now hates a lot of the stuff CPA companies are pushing.

I have to admit that most of the gift cards and supplements ARE scams. I'm sorta done with CPA stuff for now.

Google are slowly weeding out Affiliate sites as their aim to get rid of them all.

The way to do it is not direct link to your affiliate product but instead create a webpage which is linked to the rest of the website and presells the affiliate product. Then link to the product from your own webpage.

Also don't forget to include things such as About Us, Contact Us, Sitemap etc.

according to what i hear from you and from other ppc bloggers,i should have been slapped by google as well, i'm doing the typical Review sites for cpa offers and yet i've not been effected by this.
Not sure how to avoid it really...putting real content on those review site is not an easy thing to do.

I know exactly how the Quality Score works, i'm not going to explain you simply because Google mates explain it much better in the next YT video:

    Code:
    watch?v=K7l0a2PVhPQ
What I can tell you is that you need a domain (.com IS better) that is related directly to what you are promoting (for example redapples.com if you are promoting a red apples CPA offer), and in the Iframe put a text related to your offer and also the meta keywords. You have to be very targeted, very focused. The higher the Quality Score, the lower you have to pay per click.

I hope I could help you!
