$10k Current Listing - Flippa upgrades, worth it in 2018?

Hey guys, I'm calling out to the people here that have experience selling websites on Flippa. Obviously each listing is different and dependent on multiple factors which ultimately determine the outcome.

That being said, I listed a site of mine a few days ago (still ~7 days left) and the bidding has already reached a flat $10k. It's in a highly profitable niche (sms marketing) and ranks #1 on google for a ton of niche related keywords.

I'm considering pulling the trigger and paying for Flippa's promotional upgrade. It's $249 and they send you out to their 290k email list, as well as feature you on the homepage (and a few other minor promotional things). Anyone used the upgrade before and if so, what was your experience? Just wanted to gather some more info from my fellow BHWs here to go along with some googling I'd done as well.

No, absolutely not worth it.. Even the 79$ listing is not worth it.. you get the exact same results. with the 19/29 listing.

That's definitely the direction I was heavily leaning towards. It's tempting, but my gut says it's a complete waste.

Its an absolute rip off. Better gamble that money.

If it's at 10k now just wait and see how it goes...maybe you'll see a bidding war and won't have paid any extra.

Or post on a few forums about how your money making site is for sale and ask people what they think and let the PM's flood in with big offers.

I don't think the price is fine

Speaking from experience:

Its worth it. Do the upgrade, even if you don't sell (reach your reserve) you'll be connected with lots of potentially interested parties. I didn't get a good bid until 2 weeks after my listing was removed for being unsold. I got a private offer from a buyer on the site and sold without relisting!

I usually go 249 right from the start on big websites and get pretty decent results. I almost always opt for bold and on top of normal listings upgs even for small websites. It gives me the clients I need

Well sms marketing. Are you sure your website isnt worth more. Have you tried different websites etc
