My 9000+, nearly 10,000 follower account got disabled last night without warning. I have been growing this account by following other users for over 2 months now and it may sound pathetic, but I am very, very sad at the moment. This was kind of the best thing I'd done so far in the online world. What really is bad is that I made a website, twitter, tumblr, etc for this account. This was my main source of traffic for my main attempts at IM. I just lost my base of 9000 active followers, so now I can expect nada traffic on my other attached pages. So, is there any way at all I can contact Instagram and at least try to solve this??

Other than that, I was wondering if anyone knew why my account would get disabled. I mean, I did follow people lots of people, but if that's the reason I got disabled then F#@* Instagram; Lol.

*content was 100% kid friendly too and lots of people liked my account so... ideas?

P.S. Now that I know how much of a waste of time it was to build my Instagram account legitly, what software and other social media sites can I look to in order to generate some traffic and money? What's the latest bot/"insert social media site here" combo?

Well if you had web-sites and drive traffic they will close your account. I advise to user watermarks instead of direct links ;)

For the latest Instagram Manager i advise the Igerslike web-site. Pretty Legit and with good reviews.

Dangit, I didn't think about that. I mean, why does Instagram have a website option if they are going to ban you for it!? Every post I would write "Visit blankcom for blah blah blah".

I looked at Igerslike and wasn't sure what it was, but thanks anyway.

Also, I was kind of thinking of going to a different social media site and trying bots since Instagram has gotten pretty restrictive. What does everyone think?

Yes, I got disabled no prior notice and when I tried to log in it simply said that my account had been disabled because I had violated TOS... which isn't true.

My guess it that I got banned because I promoted my blog via the instagram account which is a terrible reason for banning me.

The blog was created 100% for the instagram account and it wasn't like I was promoting CPA or anything.

I am going to try and contact them but I don't think it will make any difference.

My opinion now is that Instagram is going to ban you no matter if they feel like it so you might as well get banned using a bot instead of wasting your time like I did doing everything manually.
