$100 a day spinning Youtube content

Background:
In 2014 I purchased a niche domain and started developing a smartphone/gadget/deals review/comparison website. I didn't come far as I always wanted to have it automated and tried anything to achieve this goal. But being a perfectionist I stood in my own way, nothing was ever good enough. Years passed by and I picked the project up again over time only to come to the conclusion that this kind of website can not be automated without coding skills.
Another year has passed and this project keeps sitting in the back of my head, itching to be completed SOMEHOW.
Guess there is no way around, I'll have to do some work at least.
During that time I came across various methods of finding and using content (partly through BHW so thanks yay :) )
This forum has helped a lot and I'm now going to force myself to stick with this to make at least 10.000 Dollars from this by the end of the year.

I wanted to give back so you're welcome to follow, add, learn and discuss.

Process:
  1. Go to YT
  2. Find product review videos
  3. Download captions
  4. Turn captions into a review blog post (include stills from the video + affiliate links)
  5. Publish on your website
  6. Bank
A 10-minute video takes around 1 hour until ready to publish

Requirements:
  • Most important thing is to only go for videos whose creators are outside your legal zone (if you're from the EU take videos from the USA or Asian countries and other way around)
  • Have a website (Wordpress)
Benefits:
  • No research time
  • You can check for trending videos with VidIQ
  • Only time investment (I don't count hosting as I pay it anyways for other projects and you can post your review on any free platform you like)
Downsides:
  • You never know who has got a rich dad or lawyer friends, so an indemnity letter can basically fly in anytime (probably only if you're from 1st world countries)
I will update this thread at least once a week on Sundays.

Visitors on website: 0
Money investment: 0
Earnings: 0

The captions are baked into the xhtml, so probably not a good idea, but you could use headphones and paraphrase into your microphone and write original content.
 
It may be just my experience but most times I did this, scraped the subtitles and checked for plagiarism, I found there were about 20 to 50 sites who had already scraped the subtitles of popular videos.

It may still work if you're in a very obscure niche or if you take videos that are not in the top 30 or 50. The further down you go the better your chances of them not being already used.

I'm pretty sure many people found a way to automate this years ago, as most of the sites I found with this kind of content were obviously computer generated.
 
What about translating the text to say another language then translate it back to English
 
Also make sure to edit the "hi guys welcome to the video" "leave a like and subscribe" and all the "ehmms"
So it is not really automated, but still a nice experiment to see if this still works!

Indeed. OP can also look for very new videos and try to be one of the first to pull of this method.

You should check the content for plagiarism. It's even better to manually rewrite the content and post. You'll invest more time but it's a lot safer than directly posting.

It's just a method of spinning text. If you convert a piece of content from say English > Spanish > German >Dutch and then finally back to English, the final output text will be worded slighly different than the version you put in due to being translated several different times. It's just another way to try and get around plagarism detection.

I tried to use captions to create blog posts too but came to conclusion that it’s better to do your own research and write high quality content.

First thing is that captions are not really unique content and need to be rewritten. Also there are a lot of wordy , repetitive sentences that need to be fixed too.

The next thing is there is no way to automate this process due the reasons I mentioned above. This kind of content does not rank anymore. Even if you manage to rank it, it’s not a long term project, because sites like that drops out sooner or later.

Yeah thats propably the best way to do it. But OPs idea isn't bad for just building a foundation, or even to fill the site with "low" quality posts. I also would recommend to write some manual high quality ones your own. Yeah it's less automated this way but I guess it's hard to start with a full automation from the beginning.
