$100 a Day Journey Reboot: Destroy, Erase, Improve, Repeat

Yeah it'd be nice if there was at least something to learn from logging all of this. I'm not giving up on the youtube+cpa hustle until I consistently have 15-20 vids up with a third ranked damn well.

I was going to post stats with this, but I'll wait until the close of the day PST. Sad to say there weren't any earnings so far for the day by my time zone, after 159 locker impressions.

Just registered the domain for the cover site. To save anyone who sees this the quick google search, this month's namecheap coupon is SCHOOLSALE

Another sleepless night. The social network programs are linked up for the main site, some more keyword research was done, the CPA Network cover site has a good 10+ articles on it, and to get some extra mileage out of it I used it to apply to adsense. I'm on page two of youtube for two out of three keywords I was shooting for on the newest vid, but I'm nowhere to be seen on Google as of yet. Number one and three for the second vid for the previously mentioned poorly chosen keywords. For some reason, my first video just doesn't seem to have much hope on google, though it has been the source of the lion's share of my traffic.

I feel like maybe I'm dumping my results and stats here without an outline of my approach. Granted, I am concerned about CPA Network snoops combing through here and figuring out who I am, but I've taken care not to mention my networks; I'll post an outline of my approach maybe later on today, after some time to think and get more work done.

Things are gettin pretty stark, life wise. Havn't checked my earnings yet today; I'm hoping that after talking with my AM's and tweaking a few settings here and there, I can get back the 10-20% conversion ratio I was seeing on the first three days straight that I was doing this (before I started the journey thread).

I'm setting a goal. It's early enough in the month that it's suitable. I just need to clear 50 a day before this month is over, otherwise I am complete screwed. I know, from what I've gathered at least, that IM isn't something you can go into because you're unemployed and need to pay bills in a pinch, but I've been at this since late June, and resources are getting thin. Hell, I need to start studying again in October, or worse still, PAY to study in October, PLUS the impending doom of the end of a student loan grace period coming in a month or so after that.

I hope I don't get in trouble, but if there are any noobs (more noobish than myself, that is) that are reading, I want to save you some time. This is as close to spoon feeding as it gets around here from what I've seen. Here's what I hope will be the start of a substantial collection of links that I've found very useful. None are to other forums, some are to other blogs, so if any mods are reading this feel free to delete this post; I have nothing to personally gain from this except the glimmer of hope that maybe someone else can walk a straighter line than I did from point A to B, as opposed to the maze that I and others before me made for myself.

Some fundamentals:
http://www.wpsecuritychecklist.com/the-wordpress-security-checklist-interactive-version/ Does this even need justification? Don't Stop Here Either! Security is a process. And for the love of god, don't just do a copy paste job at the parts that call for it; really dig in and learn at least the fundamentals of this stuff. This can mean the difference between a long happy life or a fate worse than death at the hands of a system that is all too easy to exploit and victimize people with.

This is actually how I got my start in wordpress. I know, it's targeted at an adult niche, but for someone who's never done any html or php coding before, and has an eye for picking up on details unmentioned regarding such, you can learn a lot fast just by looking at all the little tweaks and innovations he made. IF you do decide to go the adult route, feel free to hit me up, I can at least tell you what NOT to do, and a few things that worked for me.

More to come as I continue my journey to $100+ a day, by way of a $50 dollar/day avg before October.

Less than an hour left in the day, but here are my stats:

Impressions: 179
Clicks: 22 reported by my networks, 38 reported by my referrer portal, and 63 reported by CLP. Interesting.
Leads: 3
Earnings: $2.75

One more polish of the keyword list and it'll be time to get back to making and ranking vids, as well as starting the SEO campaign. I lost some time puzzling over my locker settings, but it looks like it's going to be worth it. The earnings here were after finishing the reconfiguration today in the late afternoon; let's see what a typical day for me will be like now.

Closed yesterday at about $27.00. Updates soon, and plenty to do until then.

Just an update to keep myself motivated, in case anyone's still reading.

No, I've not given up. I'm steadily averaging in excess of $5 a day since my last post, just enough for this venture to pay off; this is achieved in an impressive timeframe compared to my venture into adult traffic monetization.

Working in periods spanning 30+ hours with no sleep, I have done some rather elaborate keyword and market research. I still only have 3 videos up, but I plan on having another 7 shortly.

$7.50 today, one more vid up as of right now, 2 already edited and ready to go, 3 more on the way after that, if I can get my ahead around the editing job that will be required. A fleet of new domains and landing pages will follow, that is if I don't fall asleep with my keyboard as a pillow again.

I am also now a member of roughly a dozen CPA and PPD networks: I am split testing only a few of them, as I would actually like something resembling a lasting business relationship with the other networks for when I get out of all of this keygen business. It also seems like a good idea to that effect to not send crappy traffic to the networks that openly frequent this board itself.

Update
There's good news and bad news for this update. The good news is, yesterday closed at $12.00, thus higher than the average I've been pulling for the past week. The bad news is, I've lost two videos, one of which didn't even last 36 hours. Granted, the one that died quick was for a piece of the keygen niche that everyone seems to try to take a piece of, while the other one wasn't pulling in that much traffic anyway. Oh well; destroy, erase, improve.

I'll be uploading more vids anyway, and on top of that I'm breaking in my new copy of Licorne and a fresh batch of 100 proxies. Good times a comin'.

Stats for yesterday:
192 Impressions, 61 clicks, four leads, EPC at 0.17
197 Unique Views to the main website
