It's 106 miles to Chicago, I've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and I'm wearing sunglasses.

Hit it.

I don't sleep much. I have until the beginning of October before my time for internet marketing will be cut into to some degree that I can not yet predict. My first two months in IM, I made the fatal mistake of planning for far too much, more than can be handled even by someone who works for 30-36 hours at a time. What would have been the venture that I projected that, at the very least, would pay to "keep the lights on" for all others was more effort than it was worth to do just that. There is money in the adult niche, and it is difficult for me to walk away from the cash I had invested in pursuing it, but I've already seen earning that surpass it with much less effort and investment. My niches were strong, and the resources at my disposal vast, but too much for me to leverage all at once.

Meanwhile, Youtube + CPA earns just as much money on average for a tenth of the effort, and all of these tidbits of information I've picked up on SEO can actually be applied, whereas with the adult industry there's subtleties that are difficult to ignore.

So, I'm back at it again with a new approach, Youtube + CPA with some SEO for the content locked website.

Previous Day's stats
Network One
Clicks: 9
Leads: 0

Network Two
Clicks: 1
Leads: 0

Earnings
$0.00

Youtube

3 Videos, One live, one in the process of getting the views, likes, and social bookmarks, and one more waiting for the end of the 24 hour grace period before I begin to pump it with the same.

Programs Used (To be updated only when changed)
Scrapebox
GSA SER
GSA SEO Indexer
Captcha Sniper
SENukeX (the 14 day trial for the tier 1 campaign for the website, I may switch back to Ultimate Demon afterwards for future tier 1 linkbuilding)
The Best Spinner
Kojakfull's AddMeFast Bot
And a certain other forum's suite of scripts and social network tools, which, sadly, I may have to ditch to cut costs if I don't start making significant money soon. I'd drop the link if I could, Chris is an awesome dude.

So far, a sizeable number of CPA networks that don't require references or a phone interview have been applied to, and two have accepted. On the list of things to do is finish my on-site SEO, and start gathering up the articles for the tier 1 campaign, meanwhile staying on top of spacing out the comments on all of my videos, getting the likes/views and maybe purchase the bookmarks on the third video (for the fourth and onward, I'll do the likes and bookmarks myself), readying a pool of youtube PVA's to draw from for future videos, finish off my scrapebox auto-approve list, and fire up the social network machines while I still have them for the videos and the site. Plenty to do. Good thing I can't sleep.

I've also begun a new diet plan to go with my insomnia. I'm hoping to go for the Christian Bale in The Machinist Look.

+1 for machinist reference

I'm interested to see how this goes for you, as I am doing YT+CPA stuff right now as well. Good luck.

Likewise. The week before this post was a bit depressing, but it was only with one video. The vid made page one of youtube yesterday though, and there's two more on their way. I'm shooting for 15 videos right now, but I have the private proxies to handle 20-80 or so, depending on the video to account to IP ratio.

When you do find that ratio, share it with us if you will. I am not having great luck with the few vids I have done so far, but that is mainly due to the niche not being popular enough I suspect. Like everything else IM, just keep going huh :D

wellp, I set 80 as a tentative max for 2 accounts per 20 private proxies (2 people at a household, not so suspicious I'd suppose), and the will to risk having two videos per account, so 2*2*20 = 80. I guess the minimum risk would be 1:1:1, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. What kind of traffic are the keywords you're targetting getting? How's the on-video SEO? Off-video SEO?

w00t. Accepted to three more networks since my last post, two from calling about my application to ask what the hell was up.

Sleep deprivation has a way of making you aggressive, amongst other things. This side effect worked in my favor, at least this time. Despite being a bit loopy from being so tired, the fast talk and buzzwords just flowed in a way that I could never just *make* happen, know what I mean? I felt like I was channeling a cross between John Wayne and Patrick Bateman.

"Once I've adequately analyzed the verticals that your platform supports, blah balh blah, Do YoU lIEk HuEy LeWiS?!?!?"

Just a quick report on the previous day's results

Clicks: 16 Raw
Leads: 1
Earnings: 1.75

Paltry sum for only one video with a completed batch of views, likes, comments, and social bookmarks. My second video will be finished with all of these by Thursday at the latest, and I'm beginning the drip feed on the third video today. I'm already at 3 leads today with $5.60. That's not much, but after busting my ass on trying to profit off of porn to barely exceed a buck a day, this is exciting.

Got rejected by another network today. Oh well, I'll reapply in the future, thankfully I have enough networks with offers that convert to draw from for now. My to do list hasn't changed much, yesterday was less than productive, but I thankfully accomplish a lot more on a typical day. More to report tomorrow, stay frosty.

Best of luck man! It sounds like you have all your shit together, no doubt you will do well ;)

alright, earnings for yesterday did not change in the few hours remaining. It's only 10AM here now, but there are no leads to report yet.

I don't know how I made this stupid mistake; while ultimate niche finder was down, I resorted to just directly using google's keyword planner, or whatever the hell they're calling it, to research the keywords for my second vid. I was given a quote of 33,000 searches a month for a particular keyword, and I just plug it in to the search engine on a whim to see myself at #3 for that word. Needless to say, I'm momentarily excited. Now that UNF is back up (as well as getting around to having a trial copy of market samurai), I check the keyword again with the intent of seeing how many backlinks my competitors have. Well... I don't get that far. I find that only 300 some odd searches are performed per month for the keyword. Either google's a dick, or I screwed something up in my keyword planner/tool settings, or both; one or both of the two is the lesson to be learned here.

On the plus side, the second video is already on page one of youtube for a much better keyword. So that's two videos on youtube's top 10 for a pretty good keyword, one at #3 for a crap keyword on google, and the third video's still cooking.

I'm also preparing for the seo campaign of the landing site. I'm giving Dreampress a go; I built an exact replica of the site I'm actually using, only to find it takes twice as fast to load. Customer service tells me that I need to disable some plugins, but they fail to notice the part where I keep saying that the setup is identical to that of a website on a shared hosting plan at one tenth of the cost. I think they'll be getting the axe; any modifications I make I'll have to carefully make to the active site for testing. The danger here isn't just in breaking my landing pages, but in my very bad habit of becoming obsessed with page loading speed and chasing that sub one second page loading time.

I'll try to give another status report in the evening.

301+ frozen. And what timing! Right when I'm authorized to post media here.

The video says enough.

No earnings yesterday. Up to 2.25$ today. The new website has a loading speed of less than a second now, according to pingdom. The third video is unfrozen, and as of writing this past the 20k view mark and 150 likes. Having to do the likes myself now; although it sucks to temporarily lose my fiverr likes guy when I'm rushing to get the first few videos off the ground, I'm glad I'm getting a head start on saving 5$ per video.

Today, and maybe on into tomorow (depending on if today is a day I actually end up sleeping), I'm going to finish off the website's content with a good 10-15 posts. Also, before moving onto video 4, I've decided to go ahead and do the keyword research for 12-17 more videos; instead of this cycle of keyword research --> make a vid ---> rank ---> start over at step one, one video at a time, I'll do the keyword research en masse, do the same with the videos, multitask that with staying on top of addmefast and growing a crop of youtube PVAs, then deploy, rank, and replace videos as they fall while working on the next crop.

I'm considering getting the InSpyder backlink checker for a quick way to monitor the lifecycle of the backlinks I'm building, but I'm not sure if it's worth the 65 bucks. I already have scrapebox, which can sort of do the same thing with a bit of extra work and the clever use of spreadsheets. Also getting way ahead of myself on this one, but I might try the 5 day trial of Licorne AIO once the SeNuke trial is over; something that can handle the social bookmarks, and tier 1 campaigns in general, for no monthly fee and a relatively cheap one time cost would round out my program arsenal very well.

Ugh... No earnings to report. Was suspended by my top converting network. That leaves just four networks, none of which seem to be converting very well for me.

On the bright side, I've made a deal with a family friend; I'm going to make a rewritten and overhauled version of their website, and attempt an SEO campaign for it to get it ranked on Google. I'm still trying to work out how to charge for this, as I've never counted on providing SEO as a service. I can, however, expect at least enough to expand my toolbox with what I wrote in my previous post. This of course helps my youtube CPA game as well, along with any other ventures I should pursue.

Anyway, enough of the main webpage is done now, though I will need to go back and flesh it out a bit more. I could stand to add a few more likes to my second video, and the likes are slow in the making for the third. I'm also going to go back and make sure all of my videos are on google+. The keyword research is done for 7 more videos to come, and I have a handful of ideas for about 5 more. Also, to avoid the account suspension/rejection issues that I've been facing, I'm going to need to create a much more elaborate "cover" website, one that would appear to generate clicks in a manner consistent with what the networks are actually wanting of any prospective publishers. This might be tricky, and hopefully not more work than it is worth. Once it's done, I'll restart an aggressive cycle of applying to buttloads of different CPA networks, (mixed in with staying on top of the videos, of course).

So that's what.... three websites to build? Ima gonna be busy. Stay tuned.

One website done. Landing page tweaked further. Postbacks finally utilized, motivated by a suspicion that this may have something to do with the crap conversion rate (until now, I just had content lockers that couldn't be unlocked). Given more than twice as many content locker impressions as I do unique visitors, as well as the undefeatable content lock, I'm concerned that I have some viewers applying to multiple offers, and that this may also be affecting the way the networks are counting conversions.

Overall stats for yesterday:
Locker Impressions: 125
Clicks: 20
Leads: 0
Earnings: 0

I'm beginning the preliminary steps of the tier 1 campaign for the main site; before the day is over I'll have hopefully started creating accounts en masse for the social network programs so as to create some cover traffic for a heftier link velocity, as well as have a custom scraped target list from scrapebox.

Yesterday's Stats:
Impressions: 172
Clicks: 21
Leads: 1
Earnings: $1.40

I can't help but think that something isn't quite right. I'm at least getting a decent Impression to click ratio, but the conversion rate is just terrible. I can either dig in deep and make sure my postbacks are working 100%, or blaze forward and just play the numbers by pushing more videos out and getting the ball rolling on the website SEO.

I managed to complete enough of the website for the friend of the family to get a bit of a kickback, enough to cover the cost of the domain and the web hosting and a handsome profit on top of that. This leads me to think that putting some time in to work a local hustle might be worth it; I don't want to get distracted though, I've already learned from the mistake of spreading one's self too thin in this business.

Best of luck mate, I just subscribed to your thread. :)

Thanks for the encouragement; I'm needing it right about now.

138 impressions, 36 clicks (22 Unique), 0 Leads so far. Is this actually normal, or is something misconfigured? I'll start worrying about whether or not I'm being shaved once I hit 100-150 clicks per day.

I've finished linking the site up via SNAP to facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, pinterest, tumblr, vkontakte, diigo, delicious, and google+. Making fake accounts is probably my least favorite part of this job, but I can't complain too much. Also, it occurred to me check up on my link referral portal site to see if my old porn links were still getting traffic, and found that they were. I went in and redirected every single one of them to the new site. I'm not expecting conversions, and will turn this off to save on bandwidth once I actually start getting real traffic to the site; I only need it to get a jump on some cover traffic so that I'll have more room to play with in terms of backlink velocity.

I'm trying to think of a way to get targeted traffic from tumblr in my niche, but that's something for the backburner. There's just too much to get done with the fundamentals for now. Once I get the social exchange bots rolling on the new set of profiles, finish the CPA cover site and set up its share of social profiles and exchange bots, and start the tier 1 campaign with everything that entails, it's back to making and ranking videos.
