    I want to create a domain using godaddy for 1 year package not for 5 years. Will my website deactivate after that or else a can resume it after a year?

    after 1 year if you still want it you'll pay to renew it for another year or more.

    After a year you'll need to renew by paying a fee. GoDaddy does provide a grace period of close to month(??) after the due date has lapsed following which the domain will be deleted or auctioned off.
